Minor Magic Resistance Potion

because they spark a consumable arms race that destroys the quality of pugs

This ^^.

Also we're lazy, and this is kinda cheap considering most races already have innate resistance and there are many effective ways to lower damage taken from spells (LoS, resistance gear, etc.).

In addition, this prevents you from using Healing Potion (or any other consumables that share a CD), so you'd be sacrificing the use of them for a resistance pot.

people do use them in BGs, they use them in strategic moments. i see alot of players spamming health and speed pots too. some of use the +int wisdom elixirs, agility elixirs, giant growth, etc. imo call what you them what you want...they all requiring farming same as potions.

in BC i noticed rogues using them alot against certain classes, because if your trinket & sprint was blown, you couldn't afford a fear...there was no gap closer like ShS

This is truly the sickest potion in the 19s. With cloak enchant, 37,5% resistance to all schools. 3min duration and cheap to make. Don't recommend using though, it's cheap as fcuk, IMO even cheaper than a speed potion.

I have like 8 recipes in my guild vault... Not that rare. I buy them for ~500g. I use them from time to time, they're really quite helpful in certain situations.

Every once in a while, a melee character will run through and dominant bg's. It's basically just keeping these at 100% uptime with a pocket healer. Sometimes you can heal through like a 5+ player focus.
