anyone know how to get more AP without sacrificing spell pen cap or changing professions? :3

Pick a talent tree (BM)? Drop the weapon chain and go with double +65 AP. Get a warrior with Solarian's Sapphire - Item - World of Warcraft and there are probably some other nifty buffs you could get somewhere via quests and other stuff .

If you're going for max ap probably switch the ametrine in cloak for a cardinal ruby as well.

changed a few things, have to keep weapon chain though so it's playable

considering swapping an agi gem for spell pen and replacing the cloak enchant to +22 agi

That's not the level 80 item on his legs, that's the profession emboss which is the same stats as the level 80.
