Soon to be GF'd gear?

I know that basically all of the SM gear is getting changed. So I've started my grind real hard for Deadman's Hand (and other less important pieces in SM). Not sure if I'll be lucky enough to get it before the patch goes live, but it got me wondering what else is going away. Outside of SM is there anything I should be looking out for? All of the current Scholo gear is level 40 (already did all of the quests in there anyways), so I'm not really paying attention to it. I wasn't preemptive enough last time and missed out on the Helm of Exile. I don't want to make that mistake again. I know I'm starting a bit late on it, but w/e.

As a side-note: I like how they're putting set stats on the Revelosh pieces. It takes a bit of the grind out not having to worry about getting a piece with the weaker stat as the higher number.

Edit: Anything worth using (or transmogging) is basically what I'm after, or anything that'll have a high value after it's gone.

I would also like to know if a quest will be gone or what items will be missing. I'm currently leveling up several twinks to 39 so I can get DMH, neck, bracers from SM cath. anything else that I should be looking out for?

Just make sure you have done all the quests. Get DMH and check for tmog gear, e.g. Scarlet set for mail wearers, Mograine's Might, Scarlet tabard, ... Don't forget to compare MoP loot with the old to check for any grandfathering.

Is there any specific part of SM that would be best to grind out the Scarlet pieces? I never really paid much attention to it, but outside of DMH I think I'm basically done with boss drops.
