Tips on running Premades

Flamer

2014 and 2016 Twink Cup Champion
So tonight my guild tried to run a premade with another guild. Neither of us had 10 man, but had 8 people so we still had 2 groups. We had all 4 groups, 2 from each guild queing at the same time, and we could never get it so that all 4 groups got the same pop. The other guild was horde side and since horde has faster ques they were getting pops before us so we all requed. AFter about an hour, one of our groups and one of their groups both got a pop so we ran 5man against each other, but my guilds group wasn't setup for a 5man and had no dps. I wasn't in that group but that is what they said. After this we gave up on running a premade tonight. Any tips or addons that we can use so that all 4 groups can get the same pop and we can finally run a premade? there has to be a way.

There probably is a way. PM Pizza maybe he can help.

I am sure there is a way you could use AVenabler somehow to help you with this. Have both teams with AVenabler, have each group leader in the same vent channel. Have someone Count Down to que at the same time(it has to be someone other than the group leaders due to latency delay). From there, rinse and repeat until it pops. Once it pops, join your own seperate TS/Vent/Skype and have fun in your premade.

It would probably help a lot more if you had a full 10man on both sides too.

A much easier way to do premades is to just wargame it. Open the wargame tab and with a raid group of 10 just wargame WSG the enemy raid leader, and you'll get in with no interference - only catch is you need to have EXP on for the wargame to work, EXP off wargames aren't functioning for some reason, but rest assured you get no exp whatsoever (provided you don't go off and explore when you turn your exp on).

Have to be on the same realm, though, I believe.

Oh ya that's true, though keep in mind you only need one player from the same realm on the opposing team to do wargame wsg, so perhaps you could make that work somehow in the future idk.

Idk we are trying to have a strict rule on no pooling, everyone from the same guild no using people who aren't in your guild and no inviting someone to you guild just for that premade

That was one of the most difficult things I've ever done as a g-leader >.< I didn't think organizing a premade would be that hard lol... maybe we could try to wargame it next time, but like Dory said, I don't know if it works cross realm =/

Maybe have a twink camped out on the opposing guild's server, opposite faction of them, and group with your guild through realid? It would be $50 per premade though rofl >.<

We use to do this in LS if horde gets a pop have HORDE ONLY DROP and have them sync a que after a minute or so somtimes it works sometimes it doesnt if that doesnt work then you should all prob drop and reque again as I said it workd a few times premading with LS but not always.

Without being on the same realm the way you were using is the typical way it is done not incl any addons that are honestly more troublesome than anything. The only flaw I would see is that you may have had a group of 5 and a group of 3? Let me guess the smaller groups kept getting pops repeatedly? Try evening out the groups that way you are less likely to get pops from games with afkers and never leave queue in any group that has not gotten a pop.

actually, our group of 5 got pops and group of 3 never got pops

Step 1: Get into a vent server
Step 2: Start a count down (preferably while yelling)
Step 3: Tell everyone to queue (at the same time)
Step 4: Realise someone is already queued, got disconnected or not in vent
Step 5: Go to Step 1

We tried that... and repeated step #4 about 40 times.... not going to say any names *cough* Srcubbface*cough*

We have everyone type 1 in guild chat if you have left que to make sure that we don't try to que why someone is already qued

Not when you're always tabbed out!

checking that your guild typed 1 in guild chat requires u to have wow up too. i think /readycheck is definitely the best way. it works for us great.
