I have a free to play account with the same Name as my PtP account.. But battlenet emails are different.. is there any way i can merge them?
 
mmmmmmmm idk if that would work as one is free and one isn't . then and again i dont know much bout this stuff

They actually got back to me pretty quickly on the answer to the reopened ticket.

Just got off the phone with them, they transferred it over without any questions what-so-ever.
Was on hold for 14 minutes waiting for a GM to be available, the phone call lasted 19 minutes.

Not really sure why it wasn't letting me do it, I had just assumed it was because it was a trial account I was trying to merge.
Gave up after a couple tries and just called them, decided a 14 minute AFK wait while I played a Battleground was easier than figuring out why it wasn't working for me.
 
I have two trial accounts merged. One was new with WoW1 and another was an old school pre Battle.net account. Neither had any issues. You're not the only one having difficulty with this. A number of people have tried recently. Perhaps it's not working as intended right now. I added mine some time ago. None of the accounts had the same names or emails to begin with. I just add random names when I create them.

Hmm, must have just been something I was doing wrong then.

At least we know it works both ways, no questions asked :D
 
Hehe yeah. Well that's the main thing. Just seems like a lot of effort compared to something that took me a few moments.

They must have figured out it was working too well for f2ps, so the had to obfuscate it.
