Hello, my name is Yui, but some ppl call me Yoyo. I'm a bit of a nub, having just started WoW for the first time around Easter. I transitioned to WoW from Starcraft II while I wait for Heart of the Swarm to come out... I didn't think it would be my thing but I'm really addicted. I'm absolutely in love with my avatars and will probably be playing them exclusively f2p for some time. I learned about this site from some people in random bg's. It seems pretty neat and handy. ^-^

I currently have 3 twinks I'm working on, and will probably dedicate myself to just those 3. I've tried the other classes and enjoyed a few, but I've settled on my favorites.

If you see me on the battlegrounds, say hi! My lovable resto shammy is Oniyüi, bm hunter and moth lover Iyüi, and prot pally with a mix of int and str gear Kariyüi. Pally is my newest by far, having made and remade a pally a couple times and not actually pvp'd with this one yet. All three are Draenei, which I love to death. I find the combination of heavy stone statues, the racial, and just really good prep work goes a long way. I think Draenei BM hunters, with stone statues and spirit bond & etc. are especially overlooked as a hunter build that I want to master and give a little spotlight time as an underrated race for hunters. :D

Oh, minor trivia I play on a mac powerbook mostly. I have tiny hands and this actually works out really well for me. I even use the trackpad despite having a magic mouse, as mostly my hands are rocking' both sides of the keyboard and I like to make quick moves on the pad with my thumbs, and I'm really quite fast and precise at it. No, I do not use the trackpad for Starcraft. :p

why yes i rolled a draenei resto shammy too..cuz the best casting animations in the game imo

get a 2 dmg scope and a 1 to all resist cloack

engineering is worthless...pickup another AGM when ur insignia is on a cooldown..

as cool as the statues are...unfortunately they dont provide as much healing as (so ..you either roll with a pocket healer or otherwise you wont make it)I even tried the best stone statues on my 24 hunter...and thats 225 JC....Go for skinning/herbalism. 15 haste is god.So im going to say straight up...stock up on stone statues...and drop JC. Roll survival...explosive shot cant be messed with...,nobody in PUGS has fire resist inculding 24s who are glass cannon...ive never seen people use magic resistance/fire protection potions(il have 50% resist with kings+magic prot potion...half of that magic stuff will be absorbd)
Also on survival you gain 15%more life ...so you wont be instagibbed by 24 rouges (With 1300 life you have a chance to get 3 shotted)

BM is worthless if you have alot of armor..on a f2p alliance hunter i had 900...which translates at most a 300 crit...maybe 400.

my friend uses a prot pally with intellect gear .some str(prot is still the best since str is never wasted and goes into spellpower)...to silence enemy healers with avengers shield and to heal..if you are good prot is honestly the best to go toe to toe against enemy healers.
 
Stocking up on stone statues and dropping for Alch/Herb is the plan on all 3, since I've got the Swiftness Potion recipe in my bank on all 3. ^-^

And I only have engineering on my hunter right now because I just got it to restock on EZ-Thro Dynamite, just something I like to lob at places I think a rogue might be for fun. Saving gems for another JC power level, then it'll be time for my switch to Alch/Herb. I usually don't have trouble with rogues 24 or otherwise on my hunter and give 'em a good run for their money.

And I especially like BM because I use the stun a lot. I'm constantly staying in action targeting multiple healers, so keeping stuns available is a must. And the additional healing from stone statues and potions with spirit bond keeps me up a lot longer to clear out situations where I might be 2 or 3v1'd and come out just on top, ready to recover with a heavy silk or mageweave bandage and get right back into trouble. I play awfully aggressive on my hunter, with or without a healer.

I have been lazy with my hunter professions lately though, admittedly. Been mostly playing my shammy.

I think I've seen you on the gulch before... several times! Mostly pleasant experiences. ^-^ Think I've seen you on the basin too, actually. One game there were badgers on both factions though... o_O

honestly..switness pots are mostly worthless....on a hunter unless you want to chase down that 24 rouge that your ''concussion shot''missed.Healing pots>imo.
.engineering is useless..if you spend so much time preparing for a BG to to grind mats for dynamite to find were a rouge is at...id make a fortitude buffer instead...

you wont kill a healer in time unless they are real bad...you play as a healer too..should be known lol.And playing agressively..meh..agressivness leads to uneccessary death.You wont 3vs1 or 2vs1 any competent dps....id avoid getting zerged.

I started playing a prot pally healer..then priest...then as resto shammy instead of dps for a while. I wanted to see things from a healers perspecive so that I could better appreciate their needs in PvP.

I quickly learned that DPS are - for the most part - complete bads.

Standing back and watching the progress of PvP is extraordinarily informative - no one (except other healers) comes to the aid of the Healer who is being pounded on by that rogue/feral and most DPS are running around like headless chickens doing little/nothing during fights.
I have quickly developed a whole new respect for healers and am still discovering their needs and expectations.
EVERY ONE should try a healer, if only for a brief period.

then again this is advice coming from a Skeying hunter...so....you probably should take advice from the more experienced people than me.

i purge your shield renew and fortitude.Then wind shear your flash heal. and hope for my team to do the rest...

P.S why bash inoobupro?He is prlly one of the better players i have seen in this bracket, decent K/D ratio, plus he played before many of your's time. (i am talking early 05 here)

Not to mention justin is a gg person irl, got a good sense of humor, we went to hs together, did a lot of stuff, he is prlly more mature then half of this forum, sure he gy farms but thats just pixels, even when i tell him not to. So yeah, dont be hatin on inoobupro, he is a great offset to the community


And licholas i murder you every.single.time. On my horde hpal(LOL), i specifically aim for you. Bad warr will always be bad. Thnx for zerging at me and free hk. Cant wait until inoob finishes his horde hunters so he can multibox em and ill steamroll the .... out of you



@OP. Btw, you cant go all alliance, try rolling a horde. Sure, i hated their campaign in wc3 roc, but WoW horde ...rocks. Try rolling a belf too, they have decent casting animations. So you can expirience both sides of action, or when your team is doing bad. And there are much, MUCH better leather transmogs, btw.

Now, at the gear choices you have:moss cinch sucks b@lls, use ghamoras bind. 2x AGM is good when insignia is on cooldown. If you are into stuns, tame a bat. And dont zerg at whole team, one simply does not go 3vs1. Sandals of sacrifice are pretty bad too, try using corpse rompers. A 2 dmg scope farmed in gnomer wouldnt hurt either.Dont forget about outland and halaani wiskey, and if you did not complete your orkus or keeshans quests, DO NOT. Use the 2.5 k life advantage, as you are about to get in, (wait until 10 seconds, cancel the buff, he will give you another, and press enter BG)
