Flame of ironforge impossible to get for f2p?

I got the 3 alliance flames from stormwind, exodar and darnassus, but in ironforge there are 3 guards very close to the flame. After resurrection at the flame i always get shot within a second so i can't get the flame. Is there a trick or is it solo impossible?

there a two ways that i can think of immediately.
1. If you are a pally, you can use hand of protection, this is a godsend for the event
2. If not, then your only hope is to be online when an 85 summons and gets the attention of all the guards, summons are happening most times throughout the day, just keep checking chat.

It'll just take some communication, they summon you and you wait a moment while they run around getting all the guards who are close, click accept and cross your fingers.

You can also do this on your own. I zoomed into first person so that when I accepted the rez I immediately clicked on the flame. Took me a couple tries but it was definitely possible. Additionally, if you have a friend, have them rez first so they get the guard aggro and you rez directly after so that you have time to click the fire.

this will shave a half second off as well....start spamming it as soon as you start channeling the flame

Just found the sweet spot for looting the IF flame; ressurect and immediatly loot the IF flame from the south side. In other words, right in front of the IF Midsummer Supplier aka between 10 and 12 o'clock of the flame (if you take the Great Anvil (center of IF) as 12 o'clock.

Together with the tips above and a good timing you should be able to get in that last flame, gl out there!
