Starting a F2P twink- How to start out?

Hey Twink Info community!

Playing on my 85 main hasn't quite been all that fun. I had great amounts of fun working my way up there, but I just began to lost interest once I hit the higher levels. I've decided to take a break for a month or two to try out a Starter's Edition account so that I can take my time to check out and fully explore all the low level areas and features that I missed out on.

Well, anyways, I am a stranger to PvP and twinking. I made a quick character just to get the feel for what I'll be doing, and to be honest, I have no clue what the hell I should be doing through the pre-20 stages. I would really like some help and advice from the masters, and I would also love it if anybody would be willing to help me IN-GAME. I am also making a completely new character on a different server, because Darkspear is a shit place to be when playing Horde.

Question section:
When should I do quests, when should I work on my professions, and when should I do PvP?
What quests should focus on?
What do I do throughout the early levels?
Should I do fishing?

You should first pick a name that starts with Swag and ends with a <container>

eg. Swagbox, Swagbottle or something along those lines

Roll Horde

And be one of the cool kids by default

Ignore this post, purse has been drinking again.

Make a Hunter that's all you really need to do

And you might want to roll Horde for instant queues, but then you have to put up with virgins playing blood elves with 600hp. Alliance queues are longer, but I've noticed less retards

Says the guy with an avatar of the bad guy from Harry Potter with Christmas decorations on his face

...and when I have no arguments, I'll remind you that my dad can beat the shit out of your dad

This got really off-topic lol.

I just started F2P twinking about a week ago as well. I made a Tauren Priest and chose to level in the Northern Barrens since it was not only close to Ashenvale for the BiS ring quest but also because of all the skinning I could do while leveling to get my Medium Armor Kit A.S.A.P.

I would suggest getting BiS (excluding BoAs) before going into BGs at 20.

It's actually better to get the honor gear that you need right away, because it boosts your DPS/HPS/miti, so farming for PvE BIS goes faster

Ego - welcome to the bracket amigo.

I would suggest rerolling on Aerie Peak.

You'll see alot of activity and plenty of people to ask for guidance.

Since you have an 85 you already know wowhead.com is a good reference source for quests/gear/specs etc.

Additionally this website has some gems if you search hard enough. There's plenty of BiS gear lists and toon examples to choose from.

Don't forget to install the chat add on from curse.com - it's called f2paddon I believe (a thread can be found under the stickies in the the f2p section of twinkinfo).

What quests should focus on?
What do I do throughout the early levels?
Should I do fishing?

Do quests until lvl 10 - pvp WSG until lvl 15 - do random instances until lvl 20.
Quests - focus on end rewards based on your character's class needs (suggestion - use the wowhead filter item search).
Early levels - work on questing and leveling your professions.
Fishing - yes. Go to STV Sunday 2-4 p.m. server time to try for the Keefer's fish to obtain the Lucky Fishing Hat. (Unless you choose to go alliance and can wear leather or mail - then most likely you'll need the eyepatch from Stockades).

But above all enjoy yourself - this is a game and it should be fun.

get ready for darkmoon faire....fastest way to gold and BOA's

prior to a DMF have your player at 15+ get cooking/fishing/FA and 2 professions to 75, this allows you to do the once each darkmoon faire profs quests

do the DMF dailies for 7 days

get the Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide - Item - World of Warcraft, and BG for the 3 turns and do various dungeon for the 4 turns ins

if you have the 7 turn ins, done the dailies for 7 days, feat of strength quest, and prof quests...it is possible to get a BOA each DMF on a F2P

fishing shipwreck schools at DMF will gold cap you fast, i fish and vend then hearth to a city and get some 10 slot bags, repeat till you have seven 10 slot bags and 3 banks slots. then fish some more till i have stuff to vend for future gold as needed

fishing can be done on players at level 5, if you just want to bag, bank slot and gold cap several players real fast
