Chapter I - The Deadmines

You can always find in The Deadmines two Large Battered Chests and one or two Boxes of Assorted Parts .

Chapter II - Wailing Caverns


In Wailing Caverns you can only find one or two Large Battered Chests in Pif of Fangs.

I've done 10 Wailing Caverns runs this week and I found only these two locations.

Chapter III - Shadowfang Keep

Shadowfang Keep is the best place to farm Burnished Gear. You can find three or four Large Battered Chests / Large Solid Chests / Large Iron Bound Chests per run.
A total of nine chest locations can be found here. The chests are randomly locked or not locked.

Chapter IV - Blackfathom Deeps


In Blackfathom Deeps you can find two or three Large Solid Chests / Large Iron Bound Chests .
A total of five chest locations can be found here. The chests are randomly locked or not locked.

Chapter V) Tips & Useful Information

Hunters can farm [Standard Scope] in Gnomerengan . The scope can be found in [Boxes of Assorted Parts] . Check this Guide : Secret to farming +2 Standard Scope by lofi & this thread : Farming +2 scope faster by Trialaccountx

Most of the players don't know these locations! You can leave the chests behind...and after the final boss is dead, don't leave the party. When you are alone you can turn back and loot the chests without competition.

In Shadowfang Keep & Blackfathom Deeps you can find locked chests. You can unlock the chests if you are a rogue, or you have a rogue with you. ( Pick Lock ). In Mop, as far as we know atm, f2p rogues will lose this ability. Other methods to open the chests are : Small Seaforium Charges ( world drop schematic ) - Requires Engineering (100) & Silver Skeleton Key - Requires Blacksmithing (100).

In Large Battered Chests / Large Solid Chests / Large Iron Bound Chests you can find uncommon items, consumables and raw materials !

On rare occasions blue items cand be found . Thanks Rhaellia & TwinkO

I've ran SFK about 320349712023 times and I've seen blues drop from chests.

It's just really really really low. Drop chances from my understanding don't vary, they are fixed. World drops are world drops, they have the same chance to drop as do zone drops, from anything within the area at the same rate. As long as they meet the level range

Most of these uncommon items are well known items used for Xmog like burnished / raider gear. In these chests you can find rare recipes too.
In Large Solid Chests & Large Iron Bound Chests you can also find Ivycloth Bracelets !

Notable Loot :

• Burnished Gear ; Bard's Gear ; Raider's Gear ; Soldier's Gear ; Buccaneer's Gear ; Hunting Gear ; Bandit Gear ; Scouting Gear ; etc - (0,2% - 1,9%) Drop Chance
• Formula: Enchant Bracer - Minor Strength - 0,7% Drop Chance
• Formula: Enchant Weapon - Minor Beastslayer - 0,7% Drop Chance
• Plans: Runed Copper Breastplate - 0,7% Drop Chance
• Schematic: EZ-Thro Dynamite - 0,7% Drop Chance
• Schematic: Mechanical Squirrel Box - 0,2% Drop Chance
• Schematic: Small Seaforium Charge - 0,7% Drop Chance
• Recipe: Elixir of Minor Agility - 0,3% Drop Chance
• Recipe: Swiftness Potion - 0,2% Drop Chance

Many likes inc and if i'm not mistaken, can't you also find Large Iron Bound Chest - Object - World of Warcraft in bfd which isn't to be confused with Large Solid Chest - Object - World of Warcraft but essentially give the same items?

Dunno, I think someone got Doomspike from a chest in BFD. Well, maybe I remember incorrect, that was long ago. Need to ask Felix (if he still plays) he farmed BFD alot.

Blues can be in dungeon chests, but they're pretty rare, just like normal looting. The Deadmines boxes aren't much use, they don't have the +2 scope, but the Gnomer ones do. If you feel like adding those, I'm sure some huntard out there would find it useful.

@ TwinkO - I don't think I have 100+ dungeon runs ( BFD & SFK together ) so you may be right. If rare zone drops/world drops can be found in these chests, I will need a confirmation from a much more experienced player like Felix. I saw he has a lot of runs. A screenshot will be awesome.

@ Aradiel... I added two links. I know about the +2 Scope in Gnomerengan. There is already a well known special guide for that and a useful thread.

I don't want to create misunderstanding, that's why I will not update the scond post atm. I don't want people to think that they can easily farm blues from these chests.

I don't get it... The spots are the same...Sometimes my in game coordinates are not the same with the wowhead coordinates if I am to close to another map/floor . That's all. It's a bug or something.... I use Coordinates Add-On by the way.
