Suggestions on how to become Guild Master

I see /ginvite worked as i suspected it might... well now its time to /gpromote your 85 mage as much as possible. you dont need guildmaster, just access to guild bank, which you're likely to have as rank 2 or rank 3 in the guild. If you cannot withdrawal on your trial, try my suggestion of using a macro. dont give up so easily!

Edit: Now that your P2P is in your guild, open a ticket requesting guild master from your P2P. Dont mention anything about your trial in the ticket.

Well, your right. I wont give up this easily. In fact, there might still be a way, but I need some help.

Before I tried to /ginvite my P2P charachter (85 mage) to the guild (which has worked), I looked up some commands used for guilds. Surprisingly, the /groster command worked for me! The normal guildtab couldnt be accessed via the menu bar, neither by pressing 'J'. But /groster made it pop up. I was able to see everything, even able to request Guild Mastership because the previous Guild Master had indeed been offline for 4 years. Unfortunately pressing 'Dethrone' gave the message 'You don't have permission to do this'. The same message that pops up when I click the Guild Vault.

But, maybe I can work a way around this by how I got around the disabled Guild Tab. A macro or specific command might work for dethroning previous Guild Master and/or accessing Guild Bank.

My only problem now is, I can't find any macro/command for dethroning the current Guild Master or for accessing the Guild Bank. So help me out on this one ;D

So the problem at the moment is accessing/opening the Guild Bank. The guild controls might even allow me to withdraw, but I can't get my Guild Vault Tab to pop up.

My last hope for this is a command or macro, so bring it on :D!

On the edge of my seat here! Dumb question, but does your trial have a guild tag over his head?

Yes sir, it certainly does.

You mean that my guildname shines beneath my character name? That is correct.

Yeah I had already checked that list out myself aswell.. There is one option left though. If I somehow manage to get guild rep I can get my 85 Mage to open a mobile banking guildbank. Maybe I can access that once I hit Honored with guild rep. I heard you can obtain guildrep through playing wargames arena victories (awarding 7 rep or so per win).

If this can be confirmed, I still have some hope..

You do know they might just not have a Guildbank? You said the Guildmaster hasn't been online for 4 years... Not sure about this tho.

good point Mialo - the guild was probably inactive before Gbanks were introduced and the first tab has to be bought with gold.

Correct but when I press the guildbank with my mage who is in an even lower rank in the guild than my Trial, the guild vault tab pops up but states that no guild bank slots have been purchased. When I click it on my Trial, who is higher in rank and should have more options, the guild bank tab doesn't pop up at all. I just get a message stating

'You don't have permission to do this'.

I'm agreeing with this hypothesis.

Also, can't you buy a guild tabard and run dungeons, raids, etc and get guild rep?

You mean like the Renowned Guild Tabard? Don't think so. The guild vendor was accessable but had nothing for sale..

GF max agility cape too. Guild is level 25 too, so you can use the perks.

You can't buy the tabard until you get enough rep, and you wouldn't be able to buy it even if you did have the rep because everything from the guild vendor is over 10g.

The way to get rep, if you want to try the chest, is to win BGs and do quests. At this level though, it's going to be a long grind to get any rep.

Does winning battlegrounds increase your guildrep? Don't think so tbh mate.. Some quests reward 1 guild rep. The other way that I know to obtain guild rep is via winning War Game arena matches. A win awarded 3 or 7 guild reputation if I recall correctly.

I think you get more rep if you do it with people in your guild too. Although I haven't really tested it at low level to find out. All I really did find out was that it takes forever until you hit 85. The amount of rep you get from quests is dependant on the XP you get fro mthe quest. I'm pretty sure you get rep from winning BGs too, but it's been a while since I paid any attention to it.
