Trial Account 2006 Recovery - Need suggestions

Hey all,

My younger brother created a Trial Account in 2008 which he never activated after playing it. It has a level 20 Paladin on it with some items that have meanwhile been grandfathered.

Unfortunately he does not remember the username/password of it, and I can't tell for sure which email adress he used for it. I'm going to try to figure something out concerning email address as I might actually know which one he used for it, but if any of you has any suggestions on how to get this account back meanwhile, feel free to inform me :D!

PS: I should be able to play on this account once again, right?

If you don't remember the login name (as was used back then) or the email, you're out of luck. If you remember the email, you can probably get your password restored. Assuming you have the details. You'll need to create a Battle.net account, or link it to an existing one, then it will be playable again.

So at the moment I figured out what email adress he used for it, unfortunately I stil don't know the account username and I can't get my hands on a new password because we're not able to answer his secret question correct lol..

Any tips? Maybe a call to Blizzard would seal the deal?

Nah after that you will get to choose what recovery method you want to use, either by answering your secret question or by filling in the first 6 digits of any game license you have attached to your account (which it hasnt, because it only ever had World of Warcraft trial accounts on it).

Then you have to get into contact with them. Like anything with Blizz it depends how helpful they want to be.

Look just try calling them via phone or skype (I used 2nd option) and be polite, explain them the situation and pray that someone nice will answer.

I had a similar situation, I forgot the answer to secret question and last name I wrote.
And when I moved out of country, blizz anti-something-bot locked my account.
Since I couldn't change password, I had to call them.
I explained everything to the person that answered and even though I couldn't remember either of those 2, he restored my account.
I guess its a matter of luck anyway

gl and may the restoration gods be with you :)

Thanks for all the advice, currently calling Blizzard hehe. According to my brother he has a billion trial accounts attached to it made over the years, so it could get really interesting if I manage to retrieve his full battle.net account.

I'll keep you updated!
