XP Lock & Faction Transfer

Hey all. I'm currently working on a lv 10 shaman to go with my Cadets Shield of Blocking that I got cheap on the AH. I was wondering about how XP locks with faction transfers. I'd like to be able to lock then transfer to Horde to do the goblin starting quests but I don't want to change to goblin only to have my XP not be locked.

Does anyone have experience with this?

You cannot do the Goblin starting quests if you Faction Change. And your experience will stay locked as it would be when you faction changed.
