Hybrid Protadin Pre-Loom?

This is a chardev of a hybrid-geared protadin with heirlooms. But I'd like to know what gear is BiS before I can obtain heirlooms.

Hybrid:

The Hybrid build is my favorite, and is in my opinion, the strongest gear setup for a Protection Paladin. This set sacrifices some strength for intellect and stamina. This build should allow you easily outlast multiple opponents while maintaining your own health and mana. There are two ways to do this... INT rings, or INT BoAs. Rolling with INT rings will limit your ability to alternate gear sets, while the BoA allows you to have more variation in your build. Here is my armory. Halfway to ambassador without my satchel cape.... -_____-



Head: Skillpatch(A), Lucky fishing hat(H)



Neck: Brilliant Necklace (Jewelcafting 75)



Shoulder: Pristine Lightforge Spaulders (Pre-BoA: Deathstalker's Pauldrons(H), Packleader's Pauldrons(A)



Back: Tumultuous Cloak of the Soldier

(enchant with +1 resistances)



Chest: Mystical Vest of the Elements (Pre BoA: Phantom Armor)

(enchant with +15 health)



Shirt: There is only one option, obviously.....



Wrist: Sparkmetal Bracers(A), Bracers of the Most Trusted(H)

(enchant with +1 stamina, until you locate the +1 strength recipe(lol good luck))



Hands: Skeletal Gauntlets (Algae fists are ugly, don't use them)

(enchant with medium armor kit, +16 armor)



Waist: Earthbound Girdle of the Soldier



Legs: Thaelrid's Greaves/Scales of Akumai(Don't take the shield....)

(enchant with medium armor kit, +16 armor)



Boots: Silver-Linked Footguards(A), Boots of the Hero(H)

(enchant with medium armor kit, +16 armor)



Rings: This part gets tricky.

-Pre-BoA-shoulders, use Band of Argas + Silverlaines Family Seal.

-Once you have your BoA shoulders replace Silverlaines Family Seal with Bravo Company Signet(A)



Trinkets: Inherited Insignia(A)(H), and Arena Grand Master (Bypass the insignia and get 2x Arena Grand Master if human)



Weapon: The Blessed Hammer of Grace (Pre-BoA: Protector's Sword(A), Legionaire's Sword(H)

(enchant with +1 weapon damage)



Shield: Redbeard Crest (A) Shield of Azsharan Conquest (H)

(enchant with +1 stamina, Blood elf only)

With the nerf to vengeance, you won't be hitting people for 600 AS crits anymore, but you will still hit hard enough to take anything down before they can even come close to killing you. Judge often, and keep yourself topped off with flashes and WoGs. You should have 1k mana with wizard oil and about 200 AP. You can run with Wisdom of elixer or giant growth depending on your personal prefference. I run with wisdom, and my flashes hit me for about 570, and AS hits for about 195. If you would rather be breaking 200 with your shield, go with the growth. There really isn't a better option between the two, so experiment and find for yourself. I usually end a BG without about 30k damage and 20k heals, with a sexy K/D ratio. I tend to carry flags, but prot paladin is an amazing offensive utility in WSG as well. Being able to sit back, offer support healing, throw shields and stuns at enemy healers, all while applying steady DPS and keeping an eye open for a repick if you must. Play close to either flag, and don't be stingy with your heals. Mana shouldn't be an issue as long as you can judge often, which is an easy habit pick up on.




Spell Prot:





The Spell Protadin is a tricky build, and is probably the most difficult paladin build to master. A spell protadin is a healing oriented, hybrid class with the ability to shine in several roles. There are several different takes that I have seen on the Spell Prot, regarding quest gear. The main choice comes from the BFD quests, where you must choose between the shield or the pants. I'll be doing some number crunching and posting it here before I lay out the gear lists.



I was in the middle of writing up the gear list (and dueling cherrypi >.<) when my laptop battery died last night. I feel bad, so i'll give y'all a sneak peak with the Chardevs. H/A

That band of the eastern strand should definitely be replaced with Garrosh's Pardon - Item - World of Warcraft and possibly Shield of the Barrens - Item - World of Warcraft but what yde quoted is probably better.

This char is going to be a FC and DPS at the same time, atleast what I aimed for. Decent SP, health, and physical damage.

I feel that the Band of the Eastern Strand is better because it hitcaps me against other level 20s.
