earth shield bug?

So there is a bug were you(shaman) can have earthshield as a different spec, one of the twinks on my server does it but sadly he hasnt been on lately, so i was wondering if any of you know how to do it.

What the bug is, is that you can have the earthshield buff on you as a different spec, you cannot recast it, but it can be there until its charges are done.

Yeah, my partner used to do it in arena, it went something like:

-specc resto
-give earth shield to someone
-specc back to ele/enh
-match start

thing is, the shaman had earthshield on himself, as an ele sham

It stays on the target after respeccing, but not sure if it stayed on the shaman himself (I was always the shielded one xd)

this really works in arena? i only know that it works in BG's

yeah it stays on the target, but he did it on himself, so far im trying random stuff to make it work

Are you sure it wasn't just resto shaman trying to assist with his damage?

it was not, he used elemental mastery or w/e its called (instant cast)
