New 39 gear come MoP

A bunch of low lvl items got added in a recent beta build. I sorted a relevant list here: Items - World of Warcraft

As you can see, a fairly large amount of rare-quality items got added. The drop locations are not yet known, but looking at the names and itemlvl gives a good indication of where the items will drop. Seeing all items have a level requirement, all items should drop from a mob. The req lvl 39 items are most likely dropping in the new Scholomance dungeon. The req lvl 30 or lower items will most likely drop in the new SM.

Due to the fact that a large amount of blues got added, I'm thinking nearly all current drops will get grandfathered.

The use and equip of those trinkets will likely get adjusted, unless they forget about it like what happened with the green quest trinkets in EPL (which gave around 270 AP).

That sp staff is still bad vs boa, even if it was itemlevel 35 + :/ I was hoping that there would be some competition weapon wise vs sp gear.

I took a deeper look at some of the items added and caught eye on this item Greatstaff of Righteousness . Not anywhere near BiS for a 39, but it has spellpower on it, a new thing for this low level (bar heirlooms ofc).
This made me wonder if there are any other low level items getting spellpower added. I could find a few items that indeed got spell power added to them compared to live. These are:

Cold Forged Hammer - Item - World of Warcraft: from AV quest

Sarah's Guide - Item - World of Warcraft: no longer obtainable

These aren't really relevant to the 39 bracket, but it makes you wonder if Blizzard will add spellpower to more low level caster items (which they should imo).

That's an interesting find, Metamorfos! The Cold Forged Hammer was already BiS for many in the 50-54 bracket, since the quest is doable at 51 and the item level lets it take wrath enchants. With the spellpower addition, the BoA caster maces can't match it until 55. If other weapons follow suit, casters 29 and up could get some really interesting options again.

This would be all the new loot for SM and Scholo, which is being added because those dungeons are going to be level 90 heroics. It's a fair assumption that all SM and Scholomance gear is going to be grandfathered in, so if you need it to finish a character or for transmog, then get it now.

If other weapons follow suit, casters 29 and up could get some really interesting options again.

The only reason why weapons would have spellpower on them at that level is because they are being made for level 90, then being scaled down like BoAs. Unless they revamp all gear drops in the game then scale them down from 90, they won't be picking up those extra stats. I would venture to say Blizzard might be forced to do so to avoid some backlash amongst players.

well, the dps is getting nerfed, so it is now a pure caster weapon.
