Hookers and drugs. I kid, I kid, in all seriousness, I can only imagine that the people behind this will spend the money to better the site.
 
They'll probably spend it on server/hosting costs and domain registration, given that the domain name of this site expires next February.

People just do not seem to get that the donation feature is voluntary. If it was mandatory, then I can understand the backlash. Seems like too many people are crying over milk that did not even get spilled.

Thank you all for your donations and for taking some of the financial strain off of my shoulders.

that you are indeed a fucking 'idiote' for thinking that people donating 150 dollars (100 of which was from one person, or so i hear) quantifies TI. who said it was a "sideshow" or not a "legit place for twink information" before? the site had 150 dollars donated in a month...which may well have happened before, it was just never trackedpublically...whoopdiedoo. getting donations doesnt make a site legit or not

nobody said it wasnt voluntary. there are just people that want to know where it goes...and if you told them how much is allocated to what and how much is pure profit you might get more donators. as for people like me, i just think its funny its broadcasted now whereas before there were donators and there was no set goal. nobody that i know is crying, but if there are, the tone you posted in didnt quell it.

my point again....obviously there are ads. so people know the donations arent for the whole costs. if you told people who asked (or everyone) how much you needed to cover the extra costs vs how much was all in ur pocket, people who love this site might be more inclined to help

it would depend on how much is profit. if theres really a 150 dollar deficit after ads and he really needs the money to keep the site going (i mean, obviously no site owner/capitalist wants to throw money away every month) then people might be more ready to donate to keep the site alive vs potentially just giving a bunch of cash away for no reason
there were never "goals" before but people donated either because they loved the site and wanted to financially support it, or because they wanted some cool new features like bigger inbox, different color name, etc

People still get upgraded to Donor status when they put in a donation towards the donation goal. So, they are still supporting the site and getting the same features as before. The only difference is now there is a visual way to track it.
 
Seems like a Dodge. Just saying. I wasn't interested before but since you seem to keep beating around the bush I mostly agree with Falkors points. Except for berating Idiote who made the thread very light heartedly
