Which Healer to Roll?

Doop

I know nobody likes class debates, but I genuinely want to know whether I should roll a pally or priest for healing. I don't think I would like healing on a shaman or druid, but maybe someone could convince me otherwise. Paladins appeal to me because I can use a shield and just generally tank other people while healing, and priests are obviously the strongest healers in 10-14, so priests are great too.

Also, depending on which class I roll, should I roll alliance or horde for gear? Thanks

Okay thanks, but why roll a tauren or troll instead of blood elf for more base intellect?

Tauren have the only stun(until MoP) In this bracket, that stun could give you a cap in a bg, wargame win etc etc. I also suggested troll for the extra regeneration, as well as the 20% more haste from Berserking.

Shaman, one of the most unloved and uncared for classes of the 10-14bracket. They are very good at healing and can do a viable amount of DPS -- About the same as a rogue with a heal in enhancement.

Shaman will be great 10 tinké healers in MoP, and can definitely do an annoying amount of damage. Druid and priest will also be quite viable in the upcoming patch.
If you want pally, you should go 14.

I rolled a rshammy not on my homerealm, so I only had a few greens and stamina enchants I scraped together, as well as a 2H hammer. I did PvP at 10 with about 700 HP (rumsey rum) and annihilated 3 warlocks in BoAs - primal strike bursting for 100-200 (melee hit, PS, and flametongue weapon), while ES'd and periodically healing.

Ok Guys. Beens the Topic is up i Have to bring the Resto Druid Aspect into this. Seeing as We have little to any Geared Resto Druid twinks, I assume that we're underestimated or just a class people might think to be squishy, ive been playing my Resto druid for a While now and im far from Squishy. I top the Healing Charts every game, not to Mention Just as Disc does amazing dmg as well as there heals, we can pretty much match it. and still never go OOM. Just a personal Preference xD. Restopathic @ Medivh - Game Guide - World of Warcraft .Good luck

Eww Hybrids. Swiftmend saved my life too many times to want to go Feral for a Little bit of Speed.

Threesets, as being a resto you also get the bonus of 25% more healing, and with the slows. Disentanglement, just make a macro like this to get out of them

#showtooltip
/cast Cat Form
/cancelaura Cat Form

I think that those two perks, along with 50% more mana regen and an amazing heal, is more valued than 15% speed.

Yes however feral has theability to dish out damage and the ability to kite, therefore I think feral is better for one on one, with a setup like healstrong.

Speaking from Experience, Swiftmend +25% healing done and Reduced cast time on nourish Stumps any Hybrid spec/gear combonation healing wise. i can dish out alot of DPS as well and have no problem downing mallee. Thorns and the ability to Entangle and kite around without the speed increase is just as effective if not more.

Well nourish would not be needed, just saying that feral which has more burst has a slight better survivability in my opinion as hot up, rake, a few mangles here and there, and run, will allow mana to last a lil longer rather than having your main damage abilites wrath and moonfire, cost mana as well as your heals costing mana. Let's put it this way... Both specs are viable in their own ways!

Druids Have a slight advantage to Other healing classes also. It's very rare that we OOM. Dmging With Moonfire Wrath and SF cost little mana. Rejuv is what eats it all. and nourish in BGs is a must.
