Alright, guys. Just want opinions.

Gulbon

Legend
I have a F2P account, and I dislike the limitations. Sure, I can see how it is fun for the challenge(I'd prefer challenge because Blizz is making the game easy); but I also have a P2P account. I was curious if any of you would approve of a level 20 on a P2P account, while using F2P gear and enchants.

I will still use P2P features like the AH, and mail, and 1M Gold cap, but as I said, anything that effects my PvP and PvE experience is strictly F2P.

Any opinions on this?

Also, if I were to do this, should I mail my heirlooms, or just simply grind for them like the other F2Ps do?

Alright, I want opinions on this. PEACE!

I don't really see a point in grinding those heirlooms. If no one could tell you were p2p by inspecting you, then there's no problem.

most in this community say 'yeah for you' if you have a p2p following f2p rules...personally, i say if you have a p2p, roll a 24. it helps your whole team.

if you DO follow f2p rules, mailing boa's is fine as long as they're boa's that f2p's have access to somehow.

If someone had some hard-on towards finding out if he's F2P or P2P they could look at his achievements, dates and whether he has them or not will say if he actually grinded for them, botted for them, or had them mailed to him.

But honestly who cares enough to do that?
My opinion is if you want to do that go for it, I have my F2P character(s) because then I have the ability to stop paying for WoW on a whim whenever I get bored, but still play WoW if I have an urge to want to. If you want to be a 20 P2P then good for you, if you want to be a 24 P2P please do not roll a hunter or paladin but I guess a small part of me will say good for you for being a tink, because end game content sucks.

...although DMF kinda throws that off as you can buy the pve boa's there and it only takes like 2 weeks to get exalted with DMF so everything beyond that is a guess i believe.

Only problem with using my existing looms is the fact that I don't want to get rid of my +4 Stats on the armor. D: But then again, I usually see one scroll of 4 stats once a week for 600G.

Honestly you can do what ever you want, it's your account and if you're paying for it I don't see why you shouldn't take advantage of whichever perks that gives you that you care to take advantage of. Even if you do limit yourself completely to being a p2p with trial restrictions someone is going to find something to gripe about, rule of thumb is to just not bother with those ppl.

There are plenty of active p2p players using f2p restrictions.

These are the same people to start groups, run others through dungeons or quests, make sure people get Hallowed title, help obtain AGMs, etc.

Joining a guild it self has perks, personally idc but a slight advantage is an advantage regardless? A 20 p2p can trade in dungeon , if you lose a roll. Small things add up.

That would be silly to grind for Boas you already have.... thats the point of anyone who wants to play in the f2p bracket (without making a 24), as a p2p. Its the ease of gearing. Use your boas (only the ones f2ps have access to if youre going by f2p restrictions), use the AH and mailing system for all the rumsey you please, and come join us! :)

Not joining a guild on this character. I am going for everything that DOESN'T give me an advantage in PvE or PvP over F2Ps. I don't consider trading an unfair advantage, since, in the end, we're all going to be geared the same.

I'm just fine with p2ps making 20s and playing with us. There are a few who do this on AP, and I've never heard anyone complain.

I would suggest joining a lv 25 guild if you can. None of the guild perks are game-changing, and you get to summon your friends around.

I have several p2p 20s with f2p gear. At one point I played an Enh shaman that i faction changed to horde, but I got tired of people giving me shit for having an eyepatch. If you roll p2p, don't do anything trials can't get. You won't want to deal with the frustration of getting insulted by people you're paying to help.

Exactly! As evidenced by this post's replies, any rational person, whether they play F2P or anything else, will not have a problem with your plan. :)
Even if anyone did, it's your business alone.

I agree with Pino on:

Some generalizations I've recently noticed sure are funny. It's as if people assume there was a separate species of homo f2piensis, steered by a collective consciousness, deciding to either hate or not hate someone. I don't hate anyone, am I missing out on tuning into the collective here?

Yep. You're not fulfilling your duty as part of the species. Turn up that temper or we're going to have to classify you as something else xD
