Random Free Faction Change

    • So today I woke up, done some studying, logged on to wow and found this:

    I haven't paid for the change, I didn't ask for it, and I don't even WANT it (...yet)
    Has this ever happened to anyone else before? Just a completely random opportunity to switch factions?
     
    That's weird. I know of something sorta similar. A guildy of mine payed for a faction change, used it, then after had a second faction change available after the original one was used. He ended up talking to a GM about it, and then asking if he could move it to a different toon, the GM said no but he was allowed to keep it. No idea why it happened though lol.

    Exact same thing happened to me and is still present.

    Ah yeah, similar situation, I factioned this last week.
    I may try the "I selected the wrong character" card and see if I can switch it to something else. Only thing is all my toons on that realm already have both factions gear :3 So I'll probably level something new today then try it
     
    As a sidenote to this thread, does anyone know if you get a free faction change when you transfer server?

    If we're talking outside of weird occurrences such as getting a free faction change for no reason like above, then no, you have to pay for both the faction and xfer, though there is an option to do both at the same time if you're transferring, it's only for convenience though.
     
    Anybody who has faction changed a char in the last 2-3 weeks gets a free faction change. Not even sure if Blizzard know about it. If you planned on Faction changing to get BiS, now is definitely the time to do it.

    i factioned my druid to horde, no free fac change back :<
     
    That's never happened to me, but lucky you!
     
    I got the free faction change too, took Blizzard 2 days to fix it so i could transfer to a diff server, but the free faction change is still there.

    So keep in mind if you want to transfer to a diff server , call Blizzard, I got transferred for free ^^
