I choosed the legging because i play holy (+ ret) first.

i believe the redbeard crest is BIS, after that. if that doesn't drop settle for shield of the barrens and or shield of the talrendis point, intellect is pretty a must have for paladins when you gotta heal.

Using scales and seal of argas is more than enough int. Try to find a redbeards. If you can't, I would go with commander's crest or gold plated buckler. I'm assuming you have both of the holy shields already, which rules out STR quest shields. The nerf to vengeance makes STR crucial. Without a decent amount of AP, you'll be healing through enemies to outlast them, rather than actually being able to pump out damage with anything other than exo, and in that case you should just stay holy.

Suppose I got those strength shields, would you recommend one of those over Commanders Crest or Gold Plated Buckler ? Assuming no Red beard's Crest

BiS horde prot paladin hit caps with bracers, shield of azsharan conquest, and boots of the hero imo. Unless you have drakewing, then you can go redbeards if you find one (One of the more common chest farming items, from what I've seen).
