Auto Hot Key.

  • Does anyone know if Blizzard had a detection mechanism if you are merely using this program while playing WOW ? I want to use this program for some non-character controlling(non cheating) purposes eg chat functions/ notes. There are some legitimate purposes I have been just dying to use AHK for in WOW but I'm obviously pretty concerned about any actions Blizzard might take if it determines I am using an 'illegal' program. Is the mere use of AHK against the rules, and does Blizzard have anything in it's software to detect it ?

Auto Hotkey isn't a real "bot". Well, it's pressing down keybinds automatically but doesn't inject anything into the WoW.exe

Which means the warden cannot detect it.

Therefore you can't be banned/suspended, except if a player reports you ^___^'

Thank you for your response. Your conclusion may be correct, but the logic you used to get there I'm sorry to say is not.

I know that it is possible for one program to detect which other programs and/or processes are running on your computer at the same time. So they wouldn't need you to inject anything into the WoW.exe to detect if you are running a particular program. What I don't know is if they put an AHK detection into it or not.
