Highest PvP-title obtained by a 19

Hello fellow twinkers

As I scouted through a few armories today, I spotted this Warrior with the rank Corporal. On my old 29-twink I remember I got my hands on that title myself, though I've never seen a 19 with it.

So, basically I wonder which is the highest title aquired by a 19? Which is the highest one could possible have gotten? And btw, I think I read here a while ago that Blizzard made it possible in the end of Vanilla to buy these titles under a short period of time, any source that may confirm this?

Don't quote me on this but I am pretty sure the only PVP titles obtainable at 19 were Private/Corporal/Sergeant (ranked in order from lowest to highest pvp rank) and the horde equivalents and to get the next pvp ranks up you needed to be significantly higher to get the required honor or w/e it was. I am not sure about Blizzard letting players buy titles, never heard of anything like that.

In vanilla, because of the way the honor system worked, in the 19 bracket Sergeant was the highest pvp title obtainable, so you wont see any higher than that.

I never once saw a R4 at 19, so as far as I'm aware the highest was R3/Sergeant.

Slyddur, R3 never capped at 19? Then again I forget how ranks were gained. I hardly ever played my Paladin. I did play the hell out of my R3 Rogue and still NEVER saw R4.

Ah, okay. I guess It was changed sometime between launch and late '05.

The cap was removed in the patch before The Burning Crusade was released. So early 2006 actually.

Honor used to be measured over a weeks time and ranks were adjusted accordingly every Tuesday on reset. So anyone who was on a slow realm and could compete with higher levels weekly honor could briefly obtain beyond rank 3.
