any advice on shadow priest?

Well ive been running disc and doing alright, still working on some gear from sunwell and what not but i want a shadow set. The only problem is i have no clue for the most part what to get or how to gem it. i have the BiS helm and thats about it and i know the staff off felmyst. I also have tazik shockers so should i just stack SP and hope to kill them before they kill me? Shadow it appears has alot of CCs as well as a silence so that was my thought on that, any link or advice is appreciated thanks :)
 
go for like 1,4k+ spd. 400+ resil and plenty of haste.

edit: oh and yea the 4) tier6 set bonus is nice aswell.

go alot of pve gear from swp with haste, :) full brutal sp suwks bawls :/
 
i got a decent amount of pve gear, i was just wondering if i should go straight SP/haste or spread it out and get resil like vianco said haha just wanting to know everyones thoughts or if they have a setup or anything i can look at
 
Best advice regarding spriest i can give you is that a mix between resi and spell power will never work. You need to full int glasscannon or full resi glasscannon. Shadowpriest is a complete catch 22, going for the latter suggestion means your damage is utter pathetic thus killing healers is incredibly difficult, the former option means that you die to any other glasscannon in less than 5 seconds with no dispersion.

Ultimately i go full int glasscannon in bgs and full resi glasscannon in arena simply because when i do play shadow for the most part damage isn't my role.

alot of resi is the way to go, i don't really have problems doing damage even with 600 resi. sps stacks extremely well with frost mages since the novas will be undispellable with VT, and silence, disarm, mc, fear, none of the SP cc's DR's with mages cc and shadowpriests can basicly be a 2nd healer if ur real healer is in a cc, strongest sp comp is frost mage rshaman sp in 3s "shatterplay"

edit: on gear, use 4 brutals for set bonus, 4 t6 for 10% increased dmg with mindblast (your most important dmg spell)

Worked out pretty decent for me, 2,3k in 3s(this season) without mage, and with 1 tazik in the team. inb4 "LOL I HAV 2,7K XDdDDd"

They were inflated slightly but i don't see why my ratings makes my argument invalid :) I was simply trying to help the OP, and if you really want to make this into an epeen fest like the rest of the forum with ratings and achievements then bring it on brother, cause im higher than you in every single respect, legit.

at least people got above 2,4k legit.
and I doubt you've been higher at 85, unless you buy boosts or wintrade like your partners do - but from what I've heard about you, you're not the big wintrader guy.
