19 Monk, SF BiS?

I do not personally own a beta acc, but ive watched a coupple of videos..
As a monk you are able to equip several different types of weps, one of theese beeing Swords (Dont know if you can dual wield) But would this mean that Monk would have SF as BiS wep? I also do know that the monks abilities change after what kind of weapon u use.. So this will also be a factor in whats BiS and whatnot. Was just wondering.

lmao why is every MoP beta speculation about Shadowfang?

inb4 Shadowfang BiS for mages in MoP

Monks can dual-wield 1h weps, and agil is the main dps stat so I suppose SF would be BiS yea..

I also don't have Beta but from the reading I've been doing all over the interwebs it seems as if the spells you use doesn't change depending on weapon choice, it's your "fighting style". To me it sounds completely aesthetic as in your typical "fight stance" i'll call it, changes in how it looks. There are some spells that require certain weapons, i forget their names but there was one about jabbing your stave, on about slicing with your axes etc. etc. but I am unsure as to what level monks were to get these spells.

That said, most of the monks offensive abilities don't require (or the animation doesn't show them using) a weapon or certain type of weapon. Therefore, the way I see it monks' weapons are really going to be mostly for the Stats. If my interpretation of what i read is true then I don't think SF would be BiS. Weapon damage has nothing to do with monk's kicks and jabs and tiger palms etc. And since these attacks don't use a weapon you wont be getting the shadowbolt procs. The agi on SF would be nice, but maybe weapons like the +3stam+3agi+3hit (been away from 19 twinking for a bit so still don't know the names of most new weapons) would be a better choice. Again though, this is just what i interpret from what i have read, i DON"T have the beta so this is not by any means 100% accurate

i own a Beta account, and from the very (VERY!) limited testing i've done on this topic, it looks like, depending on your role, Gsoj is bis for Brewmaster (tank spec), staff is BiS for healing too, (similar to the furbolg med. pouch + mace debate here), and finally, it appears as if the heirloom maces are vastly superior to shadowfang, in terms of damage for dps monks. sorry.
