  • Hey everyone.

I know that I did away with the Video forum on this site, but that was because I had a different idea on how it should work.

I have found a piece of software that quite literally creates a youtube for your vBulletin community. People can upload their videos then other users can comment on the videos, like/dislike them, rate them, and much more!

If you think that implementing this software would be good for TI, please vote accordingly on the poll above.

Thanks and I hope that you all like this idea so that we can get implemented on TI!

    Does Youtube moderate copyrighted content?

I cannot see this being so big that we need to worry about that personally.

They have some system in place that scans the video whilst it's processing, to auto-detect most copyrighted content. If anything is found, then the authors of it can choose to block the video or have ads shown in/next to it to earn themselves a bit of money instead.

But yeh, it's very unlikely you'd get any complaints/problems regarding copyright on here. Just thought it was something to bare in mind though :p

Would there be some sort of "video gallery" to showcase the uploaded videos? And if so, could you also allow users to submit Youtube videos to that gallery?

I can't think of a good reason to have it personally. Seems that the current set-up is working just fine.

I think it's a great idea if people will utilize it. I myself am not into making videos but I know many of the community members here are and were upset by the removal of the video section. Something should be done to implement a system for them since the posts about videos eventually get lost among many other posts in their sections, and this seems like a solid idea to try out.

Um, yes, youtube does monitor for copy right, however thats only because of Vevo, I don't think it will be an issue here on TI, but i suggest you be careful, masked. However I am fully in favor of a TI youtube.
