Capped Accounts

Just a quick question:
Do you still need a BC-capped account to twink at 70, provided that you actually want to get into AV still?

No you can turn XP off at 70 with a Cata account and play with people that may be vanilla/BC expansion capped. I did this for months upon my return to WoW after skipping LK. I bought Cata just to get Azeroth flying, it was 2-3 months after that I even made an 85.

well i know you'll be able to play w/ people who have their exp turned off, but is AV 70-capped-only? Or what? and if so, does it ever pop?

If u have your account BC capped u'll play with cataclysm account exp-off player. So there's no point at all to play with a BC account.
About AV yes, it pops and unfortunatly it pops too often.

Well, As it stands, Having an Exp-off Wrath, Or cataclysm account puts you into the same bracket as those on a BC-only account, and vice versa.

All battlegrounds in the bracket are 70-74, including Alterac valley, which, as ranta says, tends to pop quite a bit.

As it stands, there isn't a glaring reason i can think of that would make a burning crusade account superior to a wotlk/cata account, but hey, upto you.
