premaking and then leaving bgs?

Re: AP premaking and then leaving bgs?

Don't blame AP as a whole. There are people who will form a 5+ man premade and afk a undergeared player out of bg and people who will take the time to give the player some advice.

Re: AP premaking and then leaving bgs?

Welcome to PVP in WoW. I've always personally tried to live my life upon the philosophy of don't worry about something that you cannot change. Undergeared players will and always will join battlegrounds, you cannot change this. Guilds will and always will que together and gy farm, you cannot change this. People will and always will afk out of games, you cannot change this.

You are welcome to discuss the topic, but please keep it constructive. <3

Re: AP premaking and then leaving bgs?

yes, yes it is actually funny that to enjoy this bracket you have to premade to steamroll pugs, then when your being steamrolled you get butt hurt and /afk.
I think I AFK'd about 10 - 15 times in about 1100, if not more, games I've played so far, mostly being in PuGs. So, I won't get butthurt, I just don't care. I play this game to enjoy it, not to get GY farmed. Good players don't like steamrolling PuGs. We would love a good challenging game, but they are o so rare atm because most are just rolling their face on Hunters.

Truth is, When im premading 99/100 times we will not GY farm. Its the games that i join and its PuGs where the other players feel the need to GY farm the whole game and thats something i cant control/ personally I try to keep it classy somewhat. But as for being the person getting GY farmed, there is literally 0 reason to try at that point cant get mad at someone afking in that situation.
The best thing to do is run a 5 man group Flag all the "people who dont care" the 700 health people afk so they get kicked out and hopefully you could get some better players in the game. if those pugs are the ones causing a loss.

And to add from a alliance perspective i hear people in games say "we waited 15 mins in Q why have a 5 min game" that is another reason why many alliance feel the need to Gy farm, that and the fact that other faction groups GY farm also so its kind of getting the other faction back i guess is a way ppl see it

Thanks to those who shared their thoughts, and especially to Mialo, for taking the time to explain your reasoning. I did not make this thread to offend, though I knew no matter how I worded it someone would read more into it than I wrote. It just helps to understand people's thoughts behind their actions, I think.

So often people have come here and complained about being gy farmed and the answer is always to get your team to not rez or reroll AP so you don't have that problem. With that philosophy in mind, I was just surprised when more than half the team is from AP (like 7/10) to see everyone leave before 2 minutes into a game.

Personally, I don't care if people leave bgs as it doesn't affect me. I hold out hope that someone new will join and things will turn around. I choose to stay because I know how much other people despise joining a bg in progress, particularly when it's a loss, and usually when one is killed before their loading screen even pops up. I only leave when something is more important in real life. I don't expect others to share the same philosohpy of not afking. But, I couldn't understand people here saying one answer about what to do in such cases and then a complete opposite outcome by the same people.

I was in one AP 5/10 WSG premade.
Before the combat I always check all ally's to see who are we fighting against (tnx BattlegroundTargets!).
Then when looking @ ally's HP pool I saw that they had 5/10 24's that come from same server (can't remember server name tbh).
They we're all maxed out, like all had at least double of ours best HP.We started to fight, those 5/10 all rushed into us and roflstopmed us in a second.
After that they moved to GY, and killed all 10 of us again.
After us 6 or 7 moved out of spirit ress, in order for them to leave, we saw that they just sit there, doing nothing.
So we all left BG.
I don't see what else we could do really.

I'd like to ask 2x12=? what would you do in situations like this?
Keep ressing?
No?
I thought so...

Back on topic - nobody said that if you move to AP horde, you'll win all BG's nor noone can.
Its just that when rolling in premade you have significantly more chances to win then in a pug.
ofc there will be games where we'll loose.
I don't see why do ppl brag so much about it (
This comes in mind
) or about us leaving BG's.
