Suggestions for Real ID premade leaders (US)

So basically here's what's going on. I feel that there is nowhere near enough premade activity in the bracket and I have plans in the works to get a weekly draft style Real Id premade event set up in the near future. The way that it will work is there will be two leaders on each team and from there teams will be picked draft style a few days before the games are scheduled to be played. I'll release the rules later (pretty much standard premade rules), but that's the basic idea. Originally I was going to approach people that I saw fit to be said leaders, but my dear friend and colleague Ko suggested that I ask the community who they would like to be lead by and I took it to heart.

This is what i need from you:

1) Your suggestions of people that you think would be competent in leading these teams.

2) Your suggestion on the day that you would like the games played. (Saturday and Sunday being the obvious choices)

3) Any other ideas that you have that you feel would benefit the event.

I'll be making a sign up thread with the rules later, so please don't try and sign up in this thread.

3) maybe this is a given, but no teams stacked with any of the same class. aka no pala/hunter stacked teams.

Horde possible leaders.
dontdodrugs.
Slyddur
Cannabis
Ore

Alliance Possible leaders
Tinkorbell
Kitn
Geno

sunday/Saturday for days

and might be cool to have no mid chopping was talking to sly about it but it would be like old premades basically offense vs defense idk tho would be a nice change

The two class limit and two stealthy limit will be in effect.

EDIT: subject to change though. we'll see

Im not sure what the latest rules are, but a while back the going rules for team setup was no more then 2 of each class, and 2 stealthers max. This pretty much comes to 2Hunts, 2 rogues, 2 HPallies, 2 Priests, mage, Warrior. Thats boring imo haha.

If you can get enough interest, maybe try a game with at least one of ea class on both sides, locks and shamans want to play too (;

if we did premades pre 4.0 style there would be a much different class setup which could help the lower powerd classes like Fury war ele sham and mabye even a warlock could be useful

A) Is this meant to be exclusive or inclusive? If the latter, you may want to think of how to include more people rather than have it be the same clique anytime. Your original thread doesn't really indicate which.

B) By a draft system, you mean each faction leader picking 10 from among the signed-up nominees of his own faction, right?

If interest is not great enough to have multiple games going at once during designated queuing times, then you may want to cycle through suitable leaders on each side to increase inclusiveness and get a real variety of games going.

This is a good idea and it sounds fun. Though I can see what Dory brings up here as being a legitimate point. There should be a way to ensure that it's not the same cronies playing every week, I think variety is important and keeps things interesting. If it's the same people picking the same people every game, people aren't really going to want to participate and it's going to get boring.

I think a Vent is mandatory too, so someone with access to a vent should be able to set up specific channels for each team when it gets going.

I'd sign up for this, I think it's a solid idea.

we are talking this over but think there will be different leaders every week to mix up the teams
this thread is just to get ideas the official thread will be released in the next couple days or so

another idea would be to limit the number of games a person could be in b4 he must be replaced... like 3 or 4 depending on how many ppl want in and how many games we get

I think that staying away from the usual leaders of popular guilds would be a good idea too. Guild leaders like Pizza, Kitn, Brown, etc are going to have more bias towards filling teams with their own guildmates. Let someone else step up and try it like Twiggi mentioned above about Silin, get Sneaky to lead one, etc. Not that I'm talking bad or saying to exclude the guild leaders, just let someone else pick the teams.

i think slyddur needs to step up to the plate and lead a group.

and it's also a great idea. I'm down.. but I think we should use the signup draft instead of exclusive invites only so the bracket plays the bracket instead of having a guild premade minus ringers (kind of like an allstar game). Anyone with public vent admin should have the channels ready so it's more official.

Make it happen.

its like this guy is fuckin mother teresa

I'd be willing to lead for the horde. I have significant premade experience. Very possibly more than anyone here, and I have no bias towards any active twink.

Also, to make sure every twink gets a chance, maybe there should be a quota of having every class used in at least X amount of BG's in X amount of time.

Drafting is the main idea

Im admin of public 19 vent and pizza is admin of TI public vent so that wont be an issue :)
