  • chardev 9

Troll - 20% haste on use.
JC - pve neck + top gems.
Engi - gloves chant 480 agi on use + rocket boots.

Also need to relvl LW for 75 ap leg enchant.

Glaives + Sunwell raids - demon bosses 200 more AP.
Full hit expertise cap ~ 50% of damage done is melee swings.
Haste - we have enough of AP and we need better energy regen, more melee swings,
also we have a lot of haste on our gear, so why do not abuse this stat?

Boss fight - BL 30% haste, troll haste 20%, 400 haste potion, SnD, engi gloves 480 agi, all the procs (ring, glaives, berserking x2, trinkets - A LOT of AP and haste).
Add all the buffs like a passive crit, 20% haste and more AP from the raid.

    RAPE DA BOSS!

    What do you think guys?

there is no 75 ap chant in chardev
    20% okay w/e :)
about ap add all the buffs and 200 ap from the glaive set
also as a combat spec crit is fine

I still think Agi as a gem stat is superior for raw DPS. My combat set for my rogue is pretty much that but using the druid agi chest from SWP and tier 6 shoulders (higher agi overall) and the expertise trinket from MGT instead of DST (it procs like a whore!)

We did a random Maggy raid a while ago when my rogue was still in Skey and I think Stun and I did just under 6k DPS overall (not the best fight to test).

Don't take my word to heart since I haven't paid much attention to PvE at lvl 70. But at max lvl Agility is best stat by a medium margin, it's even suggested to sacrifse hit in order to gain more agility. Of course it might be different at lvl 70 because you're able to reach a lot higher ratings in secondary stats such as haste that it could actually be worth gemming agility + haste for example. But as I said don't take this too seriously, listen to those who're experts in this matter instead.

sub doesnt need exp or hit, so invalid. no spec can complete dps wise with sub because of the lack of relentless strikes thus making finishers a DPS loss for combat and assassination atm. gemming haste is a cool idea, and i tried it, but it would only work for a spec like mut, where energy regen is a massive key to CP gem and such. combat haste is pointless because SND negates any need for haste, making your off-hand swing just as fast as it needs to be. sub is the superior spec, and while this is a cool idea, it just doesnt work. the stats loss is massive.

Several disagreements here for your BIS.

    Neck, Necklace of the Deep.
Chest, Carapace of Sun and Shadow (Good luck getting this.)
Hands, Gloves of Immortal Dusk (Another Sunwell crafting recipe, see above.)
Rings, Stormrage Signet Ring & Band of Ruinous delight.
    Ranged, Barrel Bladed Long Rifle

I would never count the 200 AP from glaives since it's only good against demons.

You have to count the glaives, almost all the bosses in the sunwell (top TBC content) are demons.

    The gun - 16 agi (32 ap) + 2 sockets. (3 crit r as a bonus). Go for 10 agi 10 haste x2 (since i am a haste stacker). 36 agi (72 ap), 20 haste, 3 crt r.
The thrown - one socket, 36 ap, 16 haste, (4 ap as a bonus). Go for 20 haste gem. 40 ap (20agi), 36 haste.
16 haste vs ~ 16 agi, 3 crt r almost the same stats (the gems for example).
But since i need the haste more for example, w/e.

Band of Ruinous delight low haste against mine one.
Stormrage Signet Ring hit raiting overcap.

Hands i have the same. ?

Chest, your one Requires Leatherworking (350) and also once again, hit raiting overcap. (since we dont have LW as a main proff w/e)

About the neck... calculate it by yourself plx.

why would you gem hit over having hit on a peice? agility is by far a better stat than haaste is at 70, but alas, someobdy who isnt willing to listen to reason and is instead hell bent on proving his own theory to himself will never take advice. good luck mate.

about the haste with agi, you can hit harder or you can hit faster
since we have a lot of energy on the gear without the gems, we can abuse much more for the faster energy regeneration and more hits in the same amout of time. + all the melee swings like crazy.

why gem hit instead of having it on the chest?
chest > Requires Leatherworking (350) to USE
480 agi on use from ENG > LW
pve neck from JC and the top gems > LW
    thats why

dont be too excited about haste stacking

on my hunter i tested haste stacking (since haste improves focus regen) and I was at around 80% unbuffed haste

and got to around 120% haste from a trink proc

IT didn't increase my overall dps by much, and didn't see a big improvement of focus regen

so do you want to tell the haste is worthless at all?

but the rogue have SnD and amazing melee swings damage
so sad rogue cant get extra attacks from mastery at 70 :(

haste is still really good, but its not as effective of a DPS increase as gemming AGi. its still a great idea to try and get as much haste off-peices as you can, but gemmign for haste or hit is a massive DPS loss.

    Well, as cya said,

Haste is a strong stat for the PvE-going rogue, But the benefits of agility outweigh those of anything else, as is the same with most others. ie; Yellow socket, 2 agility bonus. 1) Gem 10 agility and 10 haste, while picking up extra 2 agility, Vs 2) Sticking a straight-up 20 agility gem in there. Most secondary stats don't compare to primary stats on a 1:1 ratio, Or even close.

This goes for 70 aswell as 85, Socket bonuses are almost all completely ignorable at 70, Due to gems that have twice the value of gems that were intended for such gear.

As for PvE gemming at 70, You are best off with your primary stat, Intellect for mages, Agility for hunters, Stamina for tanks, and so on. A mixture of haste, spirit, dodge, etc. with primary stats is usually sub-par to straight-up primary stats, agi/int/stam.

Just my two cents, Some classes could function with a mixture, but as far as it goes in PvE, And in the 70s bracket, ignore the socket bonuses and go for your primary stat, and ignore the damned socket bonuses of 2 critical strike rating.

    sooo...
okey i want to know for now what is gonna be BiS for the rogue
and who is TOP 1 (single tunel target like the second sunwell boss for example) on the DPS and in what spec.
    Only pve, only dps. :)

(and about the rogue, does hit cap matter anything as a combat? or just go for the yellow attacks cap, and what about expertise)
