Pristine Lightforge Spaulders as Paladin heal

The item is red (not usable), last time i checked with my paladin, is there anything i'm missing?

it choosed the shaman torso/shoulders. the lightforge got more armor and is shown as mail, so pal should be able to wear it. i'm lost.

It is usable, some people alternate between the lightforge and the justice one, I stick to the justice boa personally but the pristine is usable, when you equip it, it will show as mail

with this one: Mystical Pauldrons of Elements - Item - World of Warcraft ? because the Pristine Lightforge Spaulders are the only "plate" shoulders.

so the fact that they are displayed red is a bug?

When you buy them and equip them plate will translate to mail
So you're free to spend points on any plate BOA

It is not a bug and I know it may look confusing but when you buy them they are listed as mail and only become plate when you get to lvl 40 so until then they are mail

I know that boa plate items stay mail till you hit lvl40. but the Pristine Lightforge Spaulders are listed as mail (& would become plate at 40), but at the vendor, they are displayed red like i would not be able to wear them. So it makes no sense since i can wear mail (& will be able to wear plate at 40).

Since it's ok to wear those, i guess that it's a bug. thx

IT IS NOT a bug. Wow. Klinda specifically said so. Rather, the vendor just sells everything at it's highest armor rating possible. HOWEVER, due to the nature of BoA's, it will scale to your armor rating when you buy them so that you can equip them.
