Dwarf or blood elf - rogue or hunter?

So i've now played every class except warrior and death knight, I don't feel like playing warrior for some reason, not sure why but it doesn't appeal to me greatly for some reason and i can't play death knight for obvious reasons. I know they are hated by all, but the classes i've had most fun with so far are hunter and rogue, so I want to go with one of them.

Also, I've now been every race except for Dwarf and Blood Elf, I really don't want to re play a class I've been already, it is way to boring to go through all the old quests again.

So, my question is this - which combination to go for
  • Dwarf hunter
  • Dwarf rogue
  • Blood elf hunter
  • Blood elf rogue
Any advice welcome, and if loads and loads of people make me, i might consider warrior as well :)
 
warriors are pretty bad at this level, especially if you don't get the charge off. They have good damage but against a good rogue or Heaven-Forbid a good hunter, your done. If you want to play a rogue then i would say go blood elf, arcane torrent is very useful against casters. Dwarfs get stoneform which is nice but doesn't really do well at this lvl. Plz don't make a hunter, we have a thousand and one hunters in this bracket and we don't need more, rogues do take skill kinda to be good at this lvl so go with that, but have fun doing whatever

With mists around the corner, alot of people will reroll so yeah
 
Is this really even a debate?? Let me break it down for you:
Dwarfs: Fucking awesome, beards everywhere
Blood elfs: Not dorfs, no beards, and the males probably shave their legs
 
Dwarves: Ugly drunkards who smell terrible and have unintelligible faux-Scottish accents and faces that look like an elephant's hindquarters.

Blood elves: A graceful, stunningly beautiful, ancient, wise, scholarly and artistic people with an appreciation for beauty, a high standard of honour, flawless skin, and incredible hair.
 
I think deciding the faction is more important than deciding the race...imo. Deciding that will take the race decision away from you as your options are 1 Horde and 1 Alliance.

But since you've played most everything, here's a list of racials that IMO are important to F2P's..but again, faction is the bigger question for most people imo.

Dwarf
Blood Elf
  • Arcane Torrent : Activate to silence all enemies within 8 yards for 2 seconds. In addition, you gain 15 Energy, Rage, Focus, or 6% Mana. 2 min. cooldown.
  • Arcane Affinity : 10 point skill bonus to Enchanting.--This gives you access to the +1 Agility to Cloak and the +1 Stamina to Shield enchants.
  • Arcane Resistance: Arcane Resistance (1 point per level).--at 20 its a 28% damage reduction from Arcane attacks: Mages, Druids and Hunters (Arcane Shot).
  • Bloodthistle Gathering: Its not a listed racial trait, but only Blood Elves can use Bloodthistle, which gives them +10 Spell Power--This is roughly a 10% SP increase for casters and more importantly, you can have it up all the time, versus some of the other racials that last 12-15 seconds and then have a 2-3 minute cooldown.

Note: the +SP also works for rogue instant poison and a hunter's arcane shot and serpent sting. I think the racials are pretty much a draw.

uh. i think by making the comment, you most certainly are.

Blood elves tweez. Dwarves don't...not sure how that has anything to do with anything...and most certainly not worth making a stupid post about.

You're right, we are indeed a very cheerful community now that the Sunwell has been restored.

shadowmeld is really fun to play with if you play ranged.
bloodelf silence is great against casters for melees.
 
Go horde, make a blood elf. They have better racials for pvp at this level, and I would encourage you to make a rogue instead of a hunter. I hate hunters lol.
 
I personally don't care at all about the presumed (metro)sexuality of a pixel character, I won't have a better or worse opinion of someone for their choice of race.

I certainly don't need to 'feel' like a female blood elf to play one. I rolled belf for the racial and class, and female because I am and didn't think further on it.

If it has to be about RP: I also chose belf for the flying bookcases, huge well-cared-for libraries, interior design, and magic brooms, because I love books, comfort and wish there was magic for cleaning and tidying. But dwarf is good too, I like beer. :)
 
go d0rf, we all know lookings > racial. Therefore you should go with d0rf ;)
