question regarding swapping quest rewards

I have come across a situation where I need to swap a question item for another but the quest was completed a while ago. I have tried several times to get gms to swap the items but I have had no luck so far and they claim that they cannot do this any more. Has anyone recently been able to get quest items swapped or am I sol?

I'd say keep trying. It's well known that GM's have conflicting ways of dealing with certain issues. Some are just (well, the majority): "Oh, we're sorry we don't provide this service. Make a post in the forums if you'd like the Dev team to make a change." And the others will actually help you out with what you need.

Can I be nosy and ask what you're trying to swap?

before when I was making my pally I got these for a max stam set since I figured bristlebark gloves would be near impossible to get on my dead server (after 7 pairs I stand corrected) anyway for a ret set I wanted to mess around with these with +7 agility to see if the extra crit they give is better than the +10 ap from the regular mail boots.

They aren't doing quest item swapping no more. (gm told me)

ye gm's have had what they were able to do downsized by a lot, a lot of things they cannot do anymore

no just say this i did it on my druid, first you have to had recently had to be alliance withing a month or so and say when you whent horde they got deleted, i said that about godfrees britches even tho i never completed the quest on alliance gms are lazy and dont always check for quest completion

I got my godfrey's restored a couple months ago so just find the right gm

should I delete the gloves before I make a ticket trying that? that sounds like a good idea though and I did faction back to horde less than a month ago

no u dont even have to delete them i have shadowfang spaulders in my bags and i still got the britches

you do know you can complete that quest twice right? once on alliance and once on horde or did you just forget to complete it when you were on alliance side?

when you say restored were they deleted or did you swap? Because from what I understand they are two different things.

I was able to get my faded wizard's hat restored that was lost from factioning horde then back to ally but still no luck with the boots. They said something about a new system that they are trying to implement that will allow players to swap quest reward items. I'm wondering if I should just hold onto the gloves for when that is eventually implemented.

Restored, but they were not in my deleted inv or anything. Took about 5 gms to get them back.
Tbh, I really don't know how they where deleted in the first place and nor did the gms.
