I resign. To be very honest, WoW in general has lost it's appeal to me. The whole shared achievement thing is one of many reasons I am quite tired of this game.
It's not the game I used to enjoy anymore, I personally think Blizzard lost sight of the wishes of their most loyal players in favour of more subscriptions.
I might check on forums every now and then, but I won't update the achievement HoF anymore, and I think I'll be less active then I already was past time.
Sorry for slacking out on you folks, hope you all do well.

(I know some will be glad to see me gone, I am unsure wether I made more friends or more enemies, know that I meant well, or at least I usually did)

I agree with you reasoning 100% though, but I will wait it out for MoP to see what if any impact it has...however, since Trial of the Crusader in Wrath I find myself constantly waiting for the "next" thing to see if it'll get better. It's either brilliant marketing or a heavy addiction...

achievements have pissed off many players already such as those who ground rep and paid a ton of gold for "the insane" title one, wowforums lit up on that one twice.

but with achievements being shared i'm glad i never went thru the work of getting diplomat, argent crusader, etc titles. i do understand what the pain is for others that grinded the rep. i did ambassador on 4 players the old hard way before the tabards made that a trash lol title.

even when MOP rolls seeing any twink with conqueror, the insane, bloodthirsty, etc etc.will be like wtf-ever, meh

I signed up several months back for the year subscription with guaranteed beta access, I will try out the MoP beta but odds are after that, I'm gone for good.
The way MoP currently looks, I think I'll stick with Rift, also looks like I'm done twinking.

Femortality, the Light of Dawn..... No, just no.
If Fem was one thing, it was a vanity toon. With achievements gone, vanity twinks are gone for good.
And to be very honest, I can't see how something is still an achievement on an alt if you haven't actually done anything on that particular toon.
Especially the way it looks right now, I'm sticking with Rift.

Oh, and I suppose I need someone to take over the Achievement HoF. *looks Chubs' way*
I'll update the list a last time, but then it looks like someone has to take over that job.

i agree with you a little that there is some disappointment that you wont be able to tell between those that grinded personally verses just doing it on a 85 and letting the 1 wear the title. But I also disagree with you that those new title wearers are "tainted". I think not so. This really only affects a couple titles available to us anyway. And did you L1 REALLY kill all those guys in Feralas or did you just walk behind someone else. I mean really - bloodthirsty?! Yes one spent a lot of time to get this but it really is just a manipluation anyway. I think it is personally a bit of an insult to those who have bloodthirsty the real way via battlegrounds to slap a automated graveyard fest on L1 via the manipulation of computer programing. Not saying I am not impressed by those that put time and effort into it, but if I had bloodthirsty on my toon the hard way I would be like like "meh, cheater...". In my mind any L1 with that title is already wearing a somewhat tainted title. I think if anything this may increase L1 twinking community because now people are more likely to want to epeen with already difficult to get titles (regardless of level) such as Salty or the Insane. I for one am excited about wearing Insane on my L1 because it fits my personality.

I personally look forward to seeing someone who actually killed 250,000 ally on the battleground roll a L1 and walk around org with me. I will hail their title.

I think it all comes down to exclusivity Grizzle ... you're right, most achievements a level 1 earns has some 'manipulation' to it...but here's the thing, very few level1s do it. We are unique in that, this change takes away our uniqueness. Yes I just spammed two buttons for 7 hours to get 100,000 hks ... but the other guy didn't ... and the title on my head shows that to everyone. Now, it appears anyone can have whatever title/achievement/etc on all their toons, and that takes the uniqueness of doing it at lvl1 away.

And that's what makes us sad

Yes I understand your point but I really do think there will be a silver lining here. And 7 hours thats it? Shoot I wandered around azeroth for much longer than that to get explorer. The two seater mount kinda took some of the fun away from that - but oh well. PS. We should get an achievement for all the deaths I have incurred (I put the ghost in grizzleghost). I am up to 2,417. Most thanks to soloing exploration.

Me and a friend had this argument awhile before I quit. We came to the conclusion that we'd be lucky if many people had 250k legit. Take for example the person with the highest HK's in the world atm. 1.3M? Thats not legit.

At this current time, at 85, you get roughly 100 HK's a BG. Your average BG lasts 20 minutes, hence around 300 HK's an hour. 7200 a day for a 24 hour grind of BG's. Thats 34.5 days of 24/7 grinding. Personally, I BG'd every day on my Rogue during WotLK (apart from arenas), at the start of Cata (S9 and S10, apart from arenas), and before I quit and managed to only hit 53k HK's "legit". I played no other toon, and hardly raided. I was always in a BG once I'd capped my arenas.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but its definatly unlikely that ALOT of people have "the Bloodthirsty" legit.
