Help me out?

Hey everyone, so i just had to cancel my WoW subscription and decided to join the f2p twink comunity :)
I know very little about all this even after reading a few of the guides on here and was hoping you guys can tell me more about it?
Like what faction has the best queue times and what classes are the most viable for this?
and which faction/class is the fastest to gear?
because i heard that alliance has an advantage with their skill patch and horde have to go through tons of fishing or engineering to get a decent head item?
(i really hate fishing lol)
so yeah tell me all you can about this please, it'd be great.
thanks :)

in the long run, time to gear up is utterly irrelevant. DON'T use that as part of your decision making process (imo anyway).

unlike p2p...when you struggle and eventually get a piece of gear, its very rewarding and you keep it (as in its not going to become irrelevant with the next batch of gear blizz pushes out).

f2p has a very different gear dynamic than p2p. Blizz intentionally wants all current p2p gear to be useless in a few months...not so with f2p gear (one of the charms of twinking).

I'd like this but I always seem to be capped.

Nya, I wasn't for once. :p

I completely agree with solv, it feels great to finally get an item you know you'll treasure for a long time. <3

Rogues are pathetic imo, hunters top the charts and pallys are also very strong (especially as ally for both classes). Ally Ques are 7-9 min usually. horde Ques are shorter, often instant. Horde AP has the best community by a long shot. But, be prepared for lots of hate if you roll an ally hunter/pally (didn't stop me lol). Ally has gear advantage for leather and mail, and horde has better options for clothies. Ally tends to win BG's more with pugs, but that trend is waning. Horde AP regularly runs partial/full premades and does war games arena. Imo, the way to go is horde AP atleast with one toon, and some empty server with an ally toon. Just my opinion, but I feel thats the best of both worlds.

Hope this was helpfull, have a good one :)

Thanks a lot that was very helpful!
Why are rogues pathetic though and why roll ally on an empty server instead of AP? :p

Hey look another one of these!

I swear people don't even read other threads before making their own...

Your best option (like I tell everyone) is to roll a couple toon that interest you, get them to 20, play around a bit, interact with the community, and THEN make your decision rather then listen to all the biased opinions on TI.

I did read quite a few threads I just wanted some input from people on here.

Highly recommend you roll on AP Horde :) You will have a big and active community to play with/help you out.

As for class, everyone on here is somehow biased towards certain classes (whether those classes are even "that" strong could be questioned) - I would listen to Arknoodle's suggestion to play a few classes (doesn't take that long to get to 20, maybe 4 hours once you get used to it) then get a feel for one/or more that you really enjoy and focus on those.

And for my own opinion on "OP class", Arcane Mage is #1!!!!

Yeah, im going to try rolling a few different toons on both factions to figure out what i like best, already started a human rogue.

This is the reason I quit my paid account and went f2p.. got so sick of always re-gearing my toon every patch.
^^ yeah, seriously. it's a new grind every other month.
gets very annoying to see your had earned gear become worthless.
