Thinking of rolling a 19

I'm sure theres threads like this all the time, but here goes...

I haven't played a 19 since probably BC, when I was a lock. I refuse to play a hunter, and not too keen on playing a rogue but I will. I'd prefer feral/mage/______.

I have been playing 20s a lot lately, but that's a huge difference from 19s. What is currently doing well that isn't a hunter? Also any insight on the classes I listed? Or personal preferences? I want something that will be good for damage, but not be entirely healer-dependent (such as a warrior). I have heirlooms for every class, as well as toons for farming gear.

Priest - you got three specs that are all considered "good", probably in this order: Disc, Holy > Shadow. The opinions wheather Disc or Holy is the better spec variates depending on who you ask. Being Shadow you can bring insane dmg, while still being able to bubble and heal yourself. The biggest problem when being Shadow would be your mana, as you will go oom pretty often.

Paladin - three "good" specs here as well; Obv. Holy Paladins would be considered the most OP of the three spec, followed by Retri though Prot can be cool and useful too. As a Retri Paladin you can do insane burst (crit over 1k), while also having Exorcism that deal a good amount of pain to the opponent too. The problem you will have is that you'll have a hard time getting to your target, Hunters and Mages will likely kite you pretty simple. As Holy one FoL pretty much heals a whole hp-pool up to 100 %, while you got Holyshock and Word of Glory while moving, mana should never be a problem. Dunno too much bout prot.

I think you're looking for one of these two classes.

Great response, thanks :D

I'm stuck between Disc priest (which I already have at 20 that I rape on), Mage (also have at 20), Hpal, and enh shaman (though idk how they do at 19 currently). I'll probably go mage as its an insanely fun class, but I'm still debating.

Enhancement Shamans do great dmg, but they're imo too squishy to be considered playable. Since I made my Mage I've fully retired from my other twinks, I love it - especially Arcane.

Is frost remotely viable? My 20 is arcane and I always tell people that arcane barrage is too OP not to have, but I've seen some frost mages do well at 20. Wondering how it stacks up at 19.

Frost Mages are great, as good and useful as Arcane Mages, if not even better. When being with the flag carrier, a Frost Mage is vital for kiting. Dmg-wise they are good too, my guilde critted 1k+ the other day (valentine's day buff). When going mainly CC-ing, I'd suggest a more defensive build.

I've made two Chardevs, one defensive build for CC-ing: chardev 9

The other one is for pure FC-ing, but could also be used for CC-ing: chardev 9 (could go for Spidersilk Cloak instead of Slippers of the Unturned Loyalities)

Both are hit-capped.

Awesome, thanks! How do you get double seal of argas, with it being a quest item? Or can I do quest twice? I've never tried it, just assumed it was like other quests. Also, I have the other heirloom staff (not jordan), as well as heirloom head/cloak.

Here's a chardev of something I have in mind as I'll likely be playing alliance (simply because I have access to money there without muling things through neutral AH).

Idk if its even available anymore, but 15 fire resistance to cloak seems like something great to assist with hunters and their explosive shot, thoughts? Also, thoughts on rest of chardev/enchants, etc?

chardev 9

Well, for starters, you have no hit rating.

I would take out a Seal of Argas (need a faction swap for 2nd one, anyway), replace it with an Ello's Band, and replace your cloak with a Spidersilk Drape, which will get you hit cap. You may also consider switching your belt for another satchel belt that has more stat points, either sun or sorcerer. A second AGM would also be better than your BoA trinket, if you want to put the work out for it. Last, the PvE shoulders would probably be better as a mage.

As for 15 fire to cloak, yes it exists and yes it is situationally useful, but I'd only get it to supplement another Spidersilk Drape that has 5 to all resists.

Why do u need a class, which is doing well? Just play a class like wl oder shaman. Its fun, too.

Notice I also said I refuse to play hunter. I like some challenge, but I don't want something that I'll regret even spending time on because I sit there raging the entire game (aka warrior or lock).

paladin,prot dps,draenei

THIS IS THE MOFUCKING WAY TO THE VICTORY MY DEAR FRIEND
