Order of getting Heirlooms for a ret paladin

It's going to be primarily a ret pally but I do tank dungeons and stuff with him.

Right now when I'm ret I have Cold Iron Pick - Item - World of Warcraft as a weapon, Packleader's Pauldrons - Item - World of Warcraft as shoulders, and Pythas' Vest - Item - World of Warcraft as my chest piece.

The BoA shoulders at 20 are 6/6 with 4 crit while my shoulders are 4 str, 5 stam, and 4 hit. I gain 2 str, 1 stam, and 4 crit while losing 4 hit.

The BoA chest at 20 is 8/8 with 7 crit while my chest is 7 stam, 5 str, and 5 crit. I gain 3 str, 1 stam, 2 crit with that.

Weapon the Bloodied Arcanite Reaper has 11 stamina, 7 strength, and 7 crit while my weapon has 11 str and 7 stamina. i trade 4 str for 4 stam and also gain 7 crit and some more top end.

Honestly these all seem pretty marginal and it seems like a tough choice. Any advice? I'll have enough tickets Saturday to get the axe and have enough now for either the chest or shoulders.

You'll have the Axe on Saturday so that's out of the question.

If you get the chest, you won't lose any stats, or, you can get the shoulders. Seems like a tough decision at this point.

It seems like you've pretty much got the axe already, which is good. Between chest and shoulders, personally, I would drop the useless hit on the shoulders first. You'll need either a demon band or Bravo Signet to make up for it, but the gain in crit is well worth it.

You'll want to go with the chest 1st as its BIS for rets, after that the shoulders shouldnt even be a question, you wont need the hit from the old shoulders as youve already mentioned the stats you would be getting plus youll already have the hit required from the BCo Signet, eyepatch, wrists, etc. get your axe when you can and have fun from there

If upgrade options are marginal than I always lean towards weapon upgrades on a melee character.

I hide in the same spot every time. He logs on, thinks no one is there, and obviously doesn't have a mule sitting in a major city to search who is in the cape of stranglethorn. He jumps down into the arena and I pretty much 100-0 this kid. This time he got totems down. Last time he didn't even trinket my HoJ. His reactions are so slow he's either 90 years old or clicks or both.

Possibly he just gave up when seeing it was you and left the keyboard to get a drink. :)
