Engineering question

If I start as Gnome to pick up 240 engineering, and then switch to Human \ nelf, will I retain the 240 engineering? Or will it be decucted to 225?

It will go back to 225. However, any skills that you learned as a result of 240 engineering will still be there.

But you will be unable to use any item that requires 225+ obviously. I missed this back in the early days of faction transfers when my 29 rogue went from Gnome->Orc

I think that's the only item that specific trick works for and is worth doing that for.
