Aerie Peak [A] WSG Roster

Lecavalier

  • Edit: Aerie Peak Horde*

Is anyone interested in creating a regular roster of 10-15 (F2P or P2P) players for WSG? A core roster would consist of 3 healers, 6 dps and a dedicated flag carrier.

The reason I ask is because I didn't reroll on Aerie Peak to join cookie-cutter groups with little to no organization whatsoever and call it a 'premade'. I don't want to play with a group that would otherwise be seen as a typical PuG if the scoreboard didn't reveal that we were all on the same realm. It's embarrassing.

    Help me out here. ):

First, is this Alliance? Your Aerie Peak character is Horde, but you list it as [A]. Second, most people log on at different times so this would prove difficult. Here's how you make sure this doesn't happen. First, gear. It might sound funny, but if they don't have a geared character they didn't put time into it and that means they aren't likely to be good (unless they JUST hit 20). Second, if you notice someone is bad, don't group with them. There's a certain core group of people that are good and you just have to get as many of them as you can. Contrary to popular belief AP is not all "good" people. It's really a lot of decent people being carried by some VERY good people or a set of pretty good to decent players. You just have to get as many of the latter in your group as you can.

Also, the idea behind AP is not to do 10 man premades (although these happened a lot when I played). The idea is to try to get your PuGs a little more stacked in your favor by having a few other decent people in them. That being said, the state of 20 Horde in general is so bad it frequently doesn't matter who you have as you're going to be rolled by the five hunter, three paladin teams that generally characterize most of the Alliance team setups.

You haven't been playing on AP for more than a week, and all I see is whining. Sounds like you want the premades to just faceroll - you have an ally priest for that. Most people playing (including AP) suck...but at least on AP they add more variety to the conversation and the arena pool grows with them. The good players don't care about AB or WSG grinding, but you are welcome to get smashed on in arena.

My mistake, I meant Horde. It would be great if someone edited that.

That's why I'd get a fairly large enough roster. Obviously, gear is important. Ideally, we all want to be BiS, but it isn't going to happen overnight and I'm not very well geared on my Horde Priest, either.

    Noted.

There's a certain core group of people that are good and you just have to get as many of them as you can.

That's what this thread is for.

    I don't think it's a popular belief, actually.

Llecavalier does a "premade" with some of us and we get matched against Extended Trial.

We lost. Horde AP players suck. Brb rerolling alliance.

I wasn't in that game against ET, however, some of the games we played were an absolute nightmare and weren't at all different than playing with a PuG.

I'll be running premades any day with anyone. The general AP players is still better than the average PuG so I'll play a premade with them, even if they're terribad. They'll still listen to me and get me a win. Doesn't matter how long it takes or how bad it is. We'll still get a win going. On the other side, as Biggie & Golden pointed out, the solo reason I'm doing this, is to get you guys geared for arenas. Thats where its all at. Arenas or GTFO. That should be the only reason you are playing on H AP actually. The arenas make this game fun, even @ low level.

Soon, you'll learn about those we aren't all bad. There are more than enough people who I would call decent, some are good, a tiny group is pro. The level of skill has gone down because most of the really great players are just geared and only log or play arenas. I welcome you to run some more premades. They aren't all too bad :p

Agreed. You should be rolling on AP for arenas or the conversation. If you're expecting to be carried, there's no point to it. Moreover, AP isn't a guaranteed win. It's a HIGHER win rate, but that doesn't mean it's a 100% win rate. Alliance teams have a lot of geared hunters, paladins etc.. (as you should know since you came from Alliance). Sometimes no matter who you have and what you have on your team it isn't enough to win. That's just how this bracket is.

Bit off topic, but I really like AP Horde for running so many 5-man premades, giving pugs a chance with decent players. <3
    Grats to you!
It's a very nice move, especially considering that you have the player base to easily run 10-mans only.
I would also think that it's a bit more challenging and fun that way. :)
WSG and AB should be fun, and not a grind for honor points after all. In my opinion at least. ^^

I hate anything more than 5 man WSG. Beyond that, I demand AB.

as other have said, you have only been on ap for what a week? thats not really enough time to judge i wouldn't think. we have also had an influx of new people. some are experienced players, some not so much.

off topic: why so much 24 ally?

We run FULL 10 mans all the time. I dont really know what you are talking about. Personally I like taking only a couple people with me into WSG's because if we have like a 5 man, i dont find there to be any challenge. All i do is dot renew on everyone and no one dies. I personally like just queuing with Scrubroll (swagbag) and we get much more of a challenge out of pugging.

But if you want "organized" 10 mans, good luck. It happens when it happens (and that is alot)

AND no its not embarrassing, its awesome when you win a pug with only a couple AP's.
