so guys this will be my 1st 80 twink what class(s) would you say to roll for a 1st timer?, i'm looking for a healer or range dps a viable one.

My knowledge on the 80's bracket is not exactly complete, but so far from what i have had a chance to see, both resto shaman / holy paladin are very good from a healing prospective, with elemental shamans being extremely strong with damage.

So your best choise in my oppinion would be shaman, resto / ele or ele / resto and you have both options you had in mind, ranged dps and a healer.

It depends what you mean by active, we have 8-9 minutes who can go up to 30.

But it is mostly around 10.

I would go with a disc and shadow priest.

If you want too be really OP, role either disc priest for healing or arcane mage but arcane is genuinely boring as hell the entire fight consists of pressing one button.

Yeah with a priest you can play both disc and shadow. Disc is rly powerful healer i don't know why there are so few of them, and shadow is better then ele for sho. While thunderstruck is a good ability dispersion gives way more longevity.

Well you can get instant que as a tank and get ur JP fast to turn into honor.

what class you should pick?

Id go with paladin very good heals. very good tanking, and pretty good dps not to mention u can get shadowmourn, and the healing mace. so pallys are really nice coz u can get 2 legendarys and be one of the best at every thing.

and every one loves a pally in raids

Sorry to rain on your parade but paladin... yeah... ret terrible damage it has high burst but that's all, tanking mastery's fairly bad and less survivability compared too other tanks, the only good spec pallys have is holy.

ret is not that bad.. they are a good support class. and prot is nice to iv never had isssues tanking as a prot pally

Anything is fair game, literally every class can be god-like, and literally every class can be complete shit.
It just depends on who's hands the character is in, but if you have no skill at all I recommend a Death Knight, if you have a little skill a Mage or Paladin, if you're very skilled try out something like a Warlock.

I'll add DKs to the mix They're strong at both tanking (instant queues) and dps (especially aoe), and you can try soloing stuff if you get bored \o/

I'd say roll resto shaman, only class I, as a fire mage and a frost DK, have real trouble killing,..
