NFL NFC Playoffs

Both of these games I would have lost in on bets. Both the Saints and Packers lost for the NFC Games....On paper, this would have never happen. What are your thoughts about the playoffs so far?

lol, I predicted both of those teams losing. You shouldn't bet on playoff games unless you've watched every game for all the playoff teams in the regular season.

The game that I picked wrongly was the Ravens beating the Texans. I'm willing to bet that the Pats beat the Ravens to go to the Superbowl. As far as the 49'ers Giants game goes it's gunna be a close one but being from NY I gotta go with my Giants

Although I'm a die hard Dallas Cowboy fan, I have to admit that the Giant's are playing a hella lot like they did in 07'-08' when they went to win the superbowl. If I were to call anything I'm going to say we are going to see a repeat superbowl Patriots verse the Giants. I don't think the Ravens played well at all yesterday and will not stand a chance verse New England. The Giants lost to the 49'ers in the regular season however they had injured players back then that are now healthy. That's just my 2 cents.

just moved to san jose so im rooting for the 49ers, every radio station is talking about it and i want them to for the SB too to keep the commentators from being awkwardly without news

new england is really good as usual, depends how brady does against the ravens d, because the ravens are not going to score more than brady if he's good. the only bad defense that could keep up with brady was the colts when they had payton manning

predictions mean nothing without betting btw, your predictions were superb but you should bet someone this time. first time is luck second time is skill

Giants will beat the 49ers. New England will beat the Ravens (I'm a Ravens fan), and it will be a rematch from the epic Superbowl from a couple years ago.

Whether a team beats another in the regular season means NOTHING. It is completely which team prepares more. IMO the superbowl will be Ravens/49ers. (Steelers fan- hopefully the pats win ;P)

No but regular season games determine a teams character, and team character shines most during the playoffs. I predicted Green Bay losing to the Giants for more then a few reasons my friend

meant this guy, sorry for the confusion. I expected the Packers to lose to 49ers/Saints a few weeks ago, just kinda passed over the giants

that gb's receivers would be god awful?

They were too comfortable coming into the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers had time off and Greg Jennings was recovering from his injury. Their loss shouldn't have come as a surprise after their loss to the Chiefs the game after they replaced their head coach.

Giants pass rush is also to blame, not just dropped passes or overthrown passes. That end of the 1st half hail mary was ******* clutch by Nicks.

there were like 10 dropped passes and 1 overthrown one because of receiver miscommunication

afaik rodgers played good, if not on par

beating the Cowboys in Dallas really sparked the Giants and they went into the playoffs hot, just like the last time they won the superbowl.. the only difference is New England isn't worried about a perfect season and are also coming into the playoffs hot.

NE > Bal (unfortunately)

Brady is too smart and knows an aging Lewis/Suggs can't keep up with Gonzalez and Gronkowski.

NY may be hot, but SF's defense is really good and if they can shut out NY's two headed monster running game and the game is completely on Manning's shoulders, then he won't pull it off. Jacobs and Bradshaw don't deserve enough credit.

on paper both events were possible

the 49s have one of the best defenses in the league, a highly underrated, undertalked about one tbh. they did a great job all day of getting pressure on brees, stopping the run, and defending the pass, but even then it still came down to the saints leaving too much time on the clock (and making two huge defensive lapses). the 9ers were also able to get much needed production out of alex smith and the offense, which was less likely but still possible

as for the packers, they have one of the worst defenses in the league and they thrive off turnovers; something eli and the gmen didnt give up much of (only turnover was 1 pick iirc). without them getting short fields and easy pts off turnovers the giants were able to control the game and score on the bad D. and the giants defense was able to cover rodgers recievers well and also get some pressure on him&get a ton of takeaways. if rodgers hadnt converted a bunch of 3rd and longs with his own legs they would have gotten even more embarrased
