Level 19 Pally

That crits sexy but that attack power sure is low, about 30 points too low imo. Does the extra crit make up for not hitting nearly as high as you could be?

Changing the the glove enchant and switching boots give me 20 more AP, but I don't really like the thought of losing 4% more crit just for very minimal damage gain.

True, I never tried out a crit-set for ret pally, But with ur grandfathered gear you could easily reach 300 ap, maybe even 308 ap if dorf, not sure how much difference between races. I wish I had chassis of westfall

capping out at like 298 ap sucks, I want 300 cuz its sexy!

http://chardev.org/?profile=312124<------one of my pally ideas, tons of oldschool gear. The idea was to maintain over 1300 hp for survivability, yet still manage over 300 ap. Also with seal of wrynn this adds a small amount of mana, which could result in an extra heal or exo during exo-spammm. also still hit capped, with enough crit to auctually crit.

http://chardev.org/?profile=312128<------Slightly different than the one above, replaces boot enchant with 7 stam, and rings with demon bands. Doing this increases ap by 4 points, but loses a very small amount of crit, and mana. slightly less hp as well.

http://chardev.org/?profile=312134<------And just for the lulz, a balls to the wall attack power ret pally, low on crit, still hit capped, terrible hp. (could obtain a few more ap using fortified bracers of str+5, but this would take it below hit cap)

Note: These setups are meant to be used with oldschool gear, therefore making them work right with the 5 hit rating to boots enchant, however for those who are starting now, you should be getting hit capped with the new BIS gear therefore not needing the 5 hit to boots enchant.

They are all dorf because dorfz have the most starting ap, therefore adding more ap to the builds. could switch with human for more hp, but would lose some ap and fall below the 300 ap mark.

When crusader procc u get 200 ap and then 30 ap isn't that much anymore. Whit alot of crit and crusader procced u will get all those shiny crits, sure a tad lower, but they r wicked sick anyway, Sure u may be hitting like a girl in between. But I don't mind since whenIi go in ap set I don't feel like i get more kills/doing it much more harder for the other teams healers.

I don't have 30%, i think i'm at 28-29% with CS and 23-24% with the rest but the point was, I rather go crit than ap, since u rly do shitloads of dmg when crusader procc. And as an paladin if u go low at hp, As ret I can help my healers more than, say warrior/rogue.

Thats the reason why I choose the talent, but thats my way of playing ret. It sure make u a bit squishy but I rly don't mind that.

Yeah niether playstyle is better than the other, they just do different amounts of damage in different ways. I dont liek relying on crusader procs because its sorta random, I prefer a set amount of ap to work with so I know how much damage I need to do. Also, I just enjoy big crits.

When Its about dmg i love rng, if it is huge dmg and such, but as healer I just hate it ><'

No, but maybe I should. Do you choose orange color every time your post or is it set by default?

The one u linked looked good. change the leggings to those from the RFC quest Stone Guard Greaves ( http://www.wowhead.com/item=66045 ) and change the enchant on hands to str or lose the attack power, and get the ally braclers and a demon ring instead of the gf'd one. would prolly work no idee what the ap/crit would land

But thats a crit build..

and i sux with links and ****
