Level 19 Pally

Gulbon

Legend
Greetings, 19s. Some may remember me from a post I posted a month back, etc about an arcane mage. Well, I never got into a mage, and I decided to roll a level 19 Ret Paladin. Why Ret Paladin, you ask? I hear they are uncommon, not TOO OP (So I won't be ruining the bracket), and they're very fun.

Well, here's my thing, though. This will be my very first 19 twink ever. I am used to the level 1 and 10 twinks I have piled across many realms, and all that shizzlemcblizzle. I want opinions on this Chardev I created for my 19 Ret Paladin.

I believe that's a very solid template, but how about you guys? I was sorta confuzzled on the rings, mainly because there were alot of options.

Currently, I have about half the BiS I've included in my chardev. Well, I have all the heirlooms, satchel loot, and BoE blues. Including the enchants.

I want your opinion on my chardev, what to add, and what to take away, all that shapazzle.

I hope to see you all in the BGs on my pally, Wreckles. Ciao!

Thats exacly how my pally looks, cept i needed less hit so I think I only used one demon band. I also switched my spec around and put talents into pursuit of justice instead of rule of law. You really do about the same amount of damage and gain 7 stamana to help you live a little longer. (boots). I noticed that while using that talent u have minor speed on ur boots, this is pointless. Switch it to 7 stam imo, minor speed is only for those who chose to spec into rule of law. Oh and I would go for herb/skinning, the skinning adds some good crit making it almost 20 percent, and without rule of law you need to make the crit up.

The crit is cooler then 7 stamina and if u have2 x agm, rly 7 more stam dosn't matter that much

Depends on personal pref imo, I tried the crit and switched to more stam and didnt notice a difference in damage, but I did notice that I live slightly longer. Those horde mages/huntorz hurt. More stam gives you more time to get in range for hammer, after that its over unless they trinket.

Agreed, but only a few of them auctually use it. The trouble with rets is being able to stick on peaple, if you can manage to stay on top of them the fight will be very very short lol. Anyone who has ate a 500+ crusader strike followed by a 900+ templars verdict would agree on that=p and if they still get away with a small amount of hp remaining, exo-spammmm

Ah, thank you! Seems like I'll go with your suggestion on the boots.

Np, some peaple prefer minor speed to boots and 1 point into rule of law, but from my experiance out on the field the stamana works out better, its up to you to decide which one you prefer, as alot of ret pallies out there have mixed preferences on which is better.

Alright...

Also, lol. I just lost my AGM to a level 85 saying that they need the stam more than I do... They just turned in the last AM, got the AGM, and said "This will be awesome in TB!" and just disappeared into Tol Barad. Lol!

I'm not BiS yet though. Doubt anybody could in half a day of work. BUT...

Is that good enough to do a few BGs before I get BIS?

get a simple pearl ring and/or bravo company bracers from the questline, get duel boa haste trinkets until u replace them with agm's. Get ur boots before doing any bg's they are from a dungeon so there is no point in not having them. Go ahead and get the right enchant for bracers since its bis, always get hit capped before doing bg's get the right boots and slap 5 hit rating on them if ya have too until you get demon bands,

hmm, ohh well, since we go with diffrent set u may like it with 7+ stam, but since i'm at almost 30% crit with Cs with that talent, I like to have it, and the health have never been a problem for me, rly, out heals r kind of op anyways, u just need to los hunters + mages, since 80% of them is so dumb so they will try to kill uand the rest 20% got sense and don't go near.

I see no reason to go for them midfield anyways, suicide, not fun.

Alot mroe fun to get 1k+ crits on priests

Agreed, a ret pally does much better inside a base or somewhere where he can los, but sadly the problem is making it past midfield. You dont always have peaple watching ur back while crossing mid, and most horde players forget what they are doing and run straight for you if they see you attempting to get thru mid. As far as a rets heals go.....im sorry but I disagree about them being op. They are far from op, if not underpowered. A hunter can auto-shot more than our flash of lights heal for and you can die before ur even close to being oom, and if lay on hands is up you could prolong the death by a few seconds I suppose.

Also, I agree about alot of them being retarded when it comes to getting los'd, I LOL everytime I run into a zerker hut and kill a pet that follows me in there, and lol even harder when the hunter sits outside trying to wait it out....the hunter is more dangerous to my fc than I am to his, so if anything hes helping my team by being inactive. The only thing that makes rets decent is the insane burst generated by wtfcrits, which are great for killing an efc if they hit at the right second, or great for taking out thier healer, while a hunter can dish out steady yet high burst.

Also I dont see how with the talent that provides an extra 5 crit chance for cs, that u end up with 30 percent, because even with the best gear and a setup devoted to pure damage, you should only reach 20-21 percent crit chance, unless ur like using 25 agility to gloves and 7 agility to boots, in that case I suppose you could reach 30 percent crit with cs, but 7 str>>>>25 agility to gloves, u lose too much ap.

I have created countless ret pally chardevs trying to find the best setups, and I have never managed to make a decent one having 25 percent crit, If you really do have that much crit I would be interested in seeing it

Oh and something just popped on the back of my computer, i saw a spark and now It smells liek burning plastic, yet it looks just fine and my comp still works. I swear the spark was as big as my thumb maybe bigger.

and made a loud popping sound.

WTF JUST HAPPEND.

That's mine. Hit capped & 24.98% crit. Couple of grandfathered items (Seal of Wrynn and Chausses of Westfall) but those can be substitued with Goblin Mail Leggings or Foremans Leggings and the Str/Stam 'Argas' ring from Ashenvale.

That crits sexy but that attack power sure is low, about 30 points too low imo. Does the extra crit make up for not hitting nearly as high as you could be?
