  • Wasn't their a post a while back were iaccidentlytwink said that he was doing a experience jump 19 to 21 or something, did you succeed?

Even if it were possible you'd get banned for it, so there's not much sense in elaborating on the subject. Not only would you get banned for being level 21 on a trial account, but the method he was going to use broke the ToS as well.

Didn't answer the question at all.

    No he did not succeed.

you're guessing he'd get banned just as everyone is guessing there's a chance it might work. there's 3 different methods he's thinking would work. i believe the 3rd method he was looking into was a bug that has since been fixed. as far as i know, the other 2 methods are still on the table. imo, if there's still some way out there to see if it works it'd be worth trying (assuming you have the time/help)...so what if your 19-just-turned-21-or-22 gets banned?

Gms dont know if you are trial or not.

I had to explain the gms i was a trial and i could not buy a transfer.

They don't have any special way to tell if you are a trial or not.

They can tell if you're a trial, it involves them looking into things further though. The game doesn't flag your ticket as a trial ticket for example

someone multiboxing can do this easily. I gave a very good tip in the post, but everyone said it wouldn't work.... So LOL, I'm going to try this soon.

    The whole thing is silly

imo no sillier than grinding honor for gear that can't let you experience anything new in the game...no sillier than grinding rep for the sake of grinding rep...no sillier than chasing any achievement for the simple sake of getting the achievement....no sillier than grinding pets when you don't whip them out anyway...no sillier than buying raptor mounts when you know you'll never use one because they bob up and down at an annoying rate...

all imo of course...trying it is no more/less silly than doing anything else in this game.

i think i'm going to build a chicken house in my driveway.

I agree that it will more than likely simply make you the most experienced F2P 20 here, and not any higher, but I still think it's worth doing just to see. It would have been simple when the dungeon exploit was working. I'm not sure it wasn't done then. I've tried queueing then inviting and it won't let me on a paid account, so fixed, or was I simply not fast enough? I'm also wondering if someone drops if you can invite then to get someone to run you through a random.

I think blizzard is smart enough to avoid that. If I remember right bar is stuck in 1 exp to 21? But if someone succeeds, please tell me. In my mind there isn't anything that could give you so much exp at once. Unless somehow you would get some high level to inv you to a group to kill some lvl 70 mob that gives huge exp... But I doubt it works.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the function that handles leveling does simply one level and doesn't care about experience.

    i.e.

you gain experience, check if enough to level -> if so, level up

IMHO on trial account you wont gain experience at 20 and thus not trigger leveling even if you already had enough experience to go to 21

...then i wouldn't have 700 xp @20 (the excess when I dinged carried over)....which is why the curious are curious.
