Wow tis true. It turns red then goes to brown a few minutes after leaving the body, so I suppose it would appear to be pink at some point.

Actually I have same report about SF recent drop. Dropped to 1 guy while farming SFK for some useless gear. I cannot 100% guarantee it is correct information but on the other hand, theres no point for him to make up stories. Also I managed to get the sword (check feed if interested) http://eu.battle.net...twinx/advanced 3rd unbound SF in my bag atm.
