Fury Vs. Arms

  • From what I've seen through browsing through some of this bracket's posts about warriors, everyone prefers Fury over Arms. Is it simply because of the slow you get in Fury? Or are there other reasons?

I've been comparing both specs with different types of weapons. Fury seems to put out a lot more damage. at this bracket I would say you can do the most with fury. been trying out 2h fury compared to arms and Fury actually hits harder with white damage than mortal strike. But it all depends on how you gear. I'm not an expert on warriors or this bracket but from my own expiremental observation I say fury does more damage as well as give you a very important snare. Not to mention you can roll around from a dps set and an FC set. I've found howl to be more helpful in flag running than the extra health of prot. If you're wondering how 2h fury can hit harder white damage than mortal strike- that 40% auto attack damage buff really does some wonders. But with the right gear anything is viable. mix it up.

Its fury or go home. Why? Fury stacks well with crusader proc, and if you have 2x of them - your opponent becomes like a paper triger in front of a storm. Bloodthirst does more damage with more attackpower, something arms lacks. On top of it all, it has a slow something that is a MOST in this bracket.

TL:DR Fury does more damage and has a better slow, arms does lol-damage and has no slow.

For beginers i would say furry all day but there will always be the special niche were a pro arms warrior is amazing !

Arms can be good. I've seen Turdel rip someone in half in the blink of an eye. Even other 24's. It comes down to skill and knowledge of the class.

Then if I were to use Fury, for weapons until I am able to get a Beazel's Basher, would Outlaw Sabre(Crusader)/Thrash Blade(Crusader or 15 Str) be the optimal setup?

as a place holder for beazel's basher. a level 24 blue would be more useful imo. electrocutioners leg offhand . since your procs won't be happening much OH so something with a decent amount of damage. However if you get something that is around 2.50 and has stats that would be better. Don't think the resilience of thrash blade adds enough reduction to justify it over something with more damage or stats. But since you will be replacing it with beazle the thrash blade would work all the same simply as a placeholder.

Bloodsoaked Skullforged Reaver gives 3 str, 4 stam and some parry at 24. It's mainhand though.

Im using Bloodsoaked Skullforge Reaver MH and Broadsword of the Crown OH, its the lvl 20 warrior quest weapon. Why? cause it gives good hit and I can replace my hit gloves/bow for the Crit gloves and str gun. I use Crusader MH and 15+ Str to OH. Dannycito on Alexstrasza if your curious.
