A few weeks ago, I got into an argument with a longtime twinker about how much misinformation and ignorance continues to plague players. To prove a point, I made the following quiz. It's completely unscientific, rife with sarcasm, and very misleading. In short, it's perfect to prove a point in the interweb!
For every "yes", you lose a point. For every "no", you get to keep the point. The guy with whom I spoke thinks that many twinkers won't score very high. But I think we'll see lots of high scores! See how many points you manage to keep.
After you take this quiz, you may be inspired to show off your knowledge with a followup post. Let's hold off on those posts for a week or two and see how many scores we can collect. Until then, we can talk about how ridiculous it is that I actually made this quiz in the first place.
Here we go -- good luck!
1. Do you think you can hit a player with a direct spell or attack, without targeting the player? Flush a point.
2. Do you believe a Tauren warrior may actually need more than 5% hit rating to reach cap vs. a same level foe? One point gone.
3. Do you think haste adds to DoTs and HotS only when you stack certain interval amounts? Lose a point.
4. Do you consider "equivalent health", and choose damage mitigation stats over stamina? Minus one point.
5. Do you consider which levels in a bracket suffer from secondary stat degradation? Lose a point.
6. Do you use a non-default binding for "Interact with Mouseover"? If so, goodbye, point.
7. Do you ever look for passive alterations to the success rate for binary spells? Chuck a point away.
8. Do you think other gear besides weapons can gain buffs from consumables applied? Minus one point.
9. Do you believe you can actually use more than two weapon buffs while in combat? Seeya later, point.
10. Do you think you can really do more than two attacks or spells within a global cooldown? Yoink a point.
So how many points did you keep?
