And hunters are Faceroll class of the bracket. I say roll a different class. Should you decide to come back and play 24 any class is viable at 24. (based on spec of course). Should you roll 20 and only do so for PuGs you may not want to roll a Warrior, Warock, Resto Druid(not intended for FCIng), Fire Mage, Shadow Priest, Combat Rogue, Assassination Rogue, Enhance Shammy.
If you decide to play alliance you can roll many of the classes i listed because of the imbalance of Gear (aka Eye Patch) should you roll Horde you will have a bit more time trying to get a helm piece. But you will get faster queues (and a bit more losses because of the gear imbalance i mentioned.) But at 20 you would want to roll Aerie Peak each side Premades BGs and have a community at level 24 Spirestone <EPlC> is looking to gather numbers for Horde and <Extended Trial> Of Alliance on Alexstraeza could use a few more members.
But if you really want to faceroll as a hunter since you are bored of the game go ahead and roll Orc for Horde (imo best race for Bursting as a Hunter) or Human for alliance (extra trinket spot).

ugh if you roll a 24 dont make a hunter. too many and its not even fun, you just steam roll everyone, but as you wish.

I wouldn't say that's bis :/ not trying to flame but ashen gloves are far superior to badassery, seeing as their are many different viable options for reaching hit cap. I'm on vacation right now and the Internet is so slow I can't even get on to my wowhead profile. But I have a saved BIS hunter profile and can pm it to you when I get home.
hmm yeah no flame intended but that hunter isnt really considered BiS . Fishin is BiS i'll link you it http://us.battle.net...a/Fishin/simple atm he doesnt have a helm on but i believe he uses the Shadowcraft BoA.
Has he considered rocket boots over Standard prison shoes ? You can put the 10 hit/crit enchant on them, which makes it so you don't have to use the shadow craft chest and shoulders and replace them with champion for the crit.
I'm gearing up my toon.. less than a week old. But maybe i don't understand lowbie gear but isn't brawler gloves I have equipped far superior to those?
With brawler gloves you'd be getting 8 Agility and 7 stam, and Ashen gloves you would be getting 7 agility, 4 crit, 4 stam.
With the way hunter stat prioritizing works is that it's Hit Cap > Crit > Agility > Stam.
So ashen is gonna give you the 4 crit, and the 7 agility, which highly out weighs the 8 agility from the brawlers, since essentially it's either 1 agility or 4 crit rating.

unsure on the trade off between taking engineering for the rocket boots allowing +10hit/crit and having herb + engin as profs, as well as the loss of 5 stam/8 agi from standard issue prisoner shoes or taking skinning/herb and using dual balanced heartseekers ...
