Mutilate Rogues

K well call me stupid or whatever you wanna do but i LOVE the feel of mutilate atm. feels so much more like an old rogue, so ima rock it.

once again, any p2ps hit me up for realids, i wanna try this for arenas ASAP

dude it's sooooooooooo bad. do some more pvp with it. i thought it might be good too, or at least a refreshing change of pace, but after pvping on it for a while i had to admit that it's just fucking awful compared to subtlety. and my rogue is fully boa'd out, so it's not a gear issue

doing some BGs atm, feels sorta like a warrior, but i DO like not hitting like a wet noodle as backstab.

yep the damage is just terrible. if you thought that subtlety damage was lackluster, you're going to rage as assassination spec at 20

on a side note - i suggest to all 20 rogues to pick up blacksmithing long enough to get sharpening stones. going sharpening mainhand and crippling offhand is a significant DPS increase, and you still get easy crippling procs with your OH (even better if you have the 1.4 speed BOA dagger)

the damage im getting out of assassination seems to be BETTER then sub. sure okay the first big burst aint shit but i build combos fast as fuck and ive already hit higher eviscerates then ive yet hit ambush in sub.

yeah, you basically have no burst damage at all, which is the only way you're ever gonna kill anything as a rogue unless you're 1v1ing somebody out in the middle of nowhere. also, not having shadowstep is just unbelievably shitty, my god

we'll see how it goes, it feels like a mixture of warrior with lack of ToT and feral druid damage.

I been mut. It's fun as alliance cause you win 90% of your games anyway, at least this way you feel less dirty about it.

meh, its not even that, its just flat out more fun then chain sapping and then ambushing shit when its low.

rogue without shadowstep is like a warrior with less damage output and much less surviablility, and warriors dont really dominate to begin with

Well we wont have shadowstep in mop so nows the perfect time to adjust. Plus I'm having fun with it sooo

Might as well enjoy it when its around.

Ehh juust an easier rogue to kill on my mage ;p lol but atm you got to think bout how it weighs out yes you might like mutilate but think about getting around the field better. The only way you can beat any class who can kite as mute is if they suck. I say mute is good for Pve but sub is way better for Pvp simply cuz of the damage & you can get around easier.

My rogue is mut, and I think it doesn't suck at all. If you only rely on Shadow Step you are a bit nublet in my eyes. No offense...

And it's a lot of fun to play :)

If you don't rely on shadowstep, have fun while everything kites you. Mut doesn't seem as good, but as with every spec, a good player can make it decent. If you're having fun then I'd say keep on keeping on but I suspect you're going to find a situation soon where you're going to hit shadowstep instinctively and realize you don't have it.

i throw kite mut rogues for luls.

-if you want something with fighting chance, go combat with a point in improved sprint.

yeah but baddies group like bowling pins in this bracket.

honestly, if you're an okay player you can probably work people over in any spec.

You guys keep saying it doesn't work while I make it work. People thought feral druids blew until I started hitting 1ks everywhere and could take just about anything 1v1. Now we have an over supply of ferals...hmm

nobody ever thought feral druids were bad

and there is definitely not an oversupply of feral druids in this bracket unless you count ~1 feral druid every 3 games as an oversupply
