Is it possible to undo a faction change and keep gear?

So i am tempted to faction my 19 hunter to get BiS then undo it. Is this possible to keep the BiS gear set or would i have to pay for another faction?

You can't undo a faction change, you would need to purchase two faction changes in order to get back to the original faction.

but when i have asked blizzard to undo faction changes ect they have said that i can only do that in the time period that they give us

try and say you thought you were xferring the toon instead of factioning

I've done it before on my druid. I factioned for Merger Boots, sent in a ticket, and they put the faction change on my character screen. Same thing with my hunter. It isn't impossible, or hard to get a GM that would do it for you, it's just hard to get a GM that will give you the faction on your character list.
