Leveling a twink through all brackets

Hi!

I plan on leveling a twink from 10 to 85 only gaining EXP through WSG.

Now I wonder which class would be most competitive regarding the following preconditions:

-> initially no heirlooms available (however, the first heirloom can be purchased somewhere around level 17/18 with honor points)

-> not a single piece of grandfathered gear

-> access to all existing enchants

-> grinding all instances as soon as possible for the best gear they provide

-> and last but not least: no help from higher level chars whatsoever

I'm curious about your suggestions!

PS: Sorry for the bad grammar. :-D English is just a foreign language to me.

Hello to you and Welcome to Twink Info !

Here are my suggestions :

  1. Mage : You might have to start with arcane and switch to frost at a higer level, but you will enjoy it, extremely high damage and very good survability once you get Ice Barrier and go frost.
  2. Rogue : Sub gives you the chance to pretty much 1 shot non heirloom clothies, which is always fun !
  3. Priest : Discipline provides some strong healing and a decent damage ( faster queues as healer ! )

That is all i can think about, the reasons might be silly but that's what came up in my mind right away !

Good luck, and if you have any more question, just ask

Thank you for your reply, Nesyla.

It looks like RMP ftw. ^^

So, if I get you right, as a mage I should stick to arcane until Ice Barrier is available (lvl 49 I guess)?

And my second question: Do you think that one of these classes would benefit especially well from improved gear through instances?

I did this on a BM hunter. Only doing the dungeons at the low end of each bracket (this was when brackets where 10-19 etc). And really only left the bg to collect spirit beasts later on (I love collecting pets on my hunters). I found this class and spec to become increasingly interesting to play (bit boring at first but a lot harder above 60). I allso did a shadow priest but never got any further than level 79, a lot easier to play but more boring. Allthough I did as little dungeons as possible I did make sure to enchant and gem all gear where- and whenever I could. Of course this is just the experience and opinion of one player, but here you have it.

srsly? well i never, i c how you got Comrunity yeader now u r rintelarent

Hunters may be overpowered at lower lvls but they become really difficult to play at higher levels, I would go with rogue. Im not saying rogue is easy, it does require a certain amount of skill, but obtaining the right gear is easy, and rogues are strong at all levels. Also you wouldnt have to get owned by full boa players because you could sit in stealth and choose your fights.

Mages could also be a good choice, spec arcane at lower lvls then switch to frost. Not only are mages ok at lower levels but at the moment they are really op at higher levels, enough to even compare with a low lvl hunter in terms of opness.

If you do this, I wouldnt go for full BIS gear each bracket because some gear peices could take monthes to obtain, expecially the ones that drop from dungeons, and drop in different types such as of the monkey, etc. I would just collect whatever boe's you can find off the auction house, and finish off the sets each bracket with dungeon blues. As far as enchants go, this will prove to be really expensive in the long run.

Spellpower enchants are expensive, and so are agility enchants, and at a later level mongoose and other enchants cost even more. If you have the money to spend this could work, but if not it isnt possible.
